Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel

Stayed with wife and kids in a room with two double beds. Nice and spacious room. Great view of forbidden city. Location of this hotel is great both for walking down wangujing street which is the main street in beijing for shops and also using the subway to explore the city with station 5 mins away. Exec lounge had limited vegetarian options but was comfortable with a great view from the top floor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was excellent as was the jacuzzi - not too packed at all which was great. Depth 1.2m temp 28 degrees, need swim hat. Breakfast was really good, better in main hall as less options in exec lounge. Excellent hotel overall.

Great hotel, great stuff, great service!

The hotel is close to the central axis attractions and is only a ten minutes walk away from Wangfujing shopping malls.
The facilities were superb and we're in good order. The staff were very friendly and were always willing to help. Also the Wan Li restaurant is worth a shout-out for it's excellent food and service.

The lobby is very large and grand. It was a hit or mess when it comes to the bell boys at the entrance. Overall service was okay. Nothing extraordinary. We didn’t get a room facing the forbidden city which was a bummer. We were excited about that. Room was on the smaller size. Overall location is pretty decent. Walkable to Wangfujing pedestrian walkway.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, and the absolute highlight wasn't the room – it was the Executive Lounge on the 17th floor!

🌃 The view is the real showstopper
The panoramic view from the lounge is simply breathtaking. Snag a window seat and you'll be treated to a sweeping vista of the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, and the White Pagoda at Beihai Park. At sunset, the entire ancient palace complex glows in golden light – it's the kind of scene you'd want to freeze in time. In the foreground, the traditional hutong alleys and courtyard houses create a striking "ancient-meets-modern" contrast that's incredibly photogenic.

🍽️ Happy Hour punches above its weight
I honestly didn't expect much from a standard lounge spread, but the evening happy hour genuinely exceeded expectations. There's a solid selection of hot dishes, cold cuts, desserts, fresh fruit, and even a noodle station. The quality was impressive – easily substantial enough to count as dinner. The drinks menu is also well-stocked with spirits, wines, and soft drinks.

💁 Service that makes you feel at home
Every staff member I encountered was warm and professional. A special shout-out to Sally (or Ma Yuying) from the Executive Lounge team – she took the time to walk me through the lounge benefits, recommended the best seating spots, and even shared some nearby attractions. Her attention to detail made the experience all the more enjoyable.

It’s perfectly positioned, clean, the food was delicious and adopted for European people.

We truly appreciated the hotel's ambiance, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms, and the overall service, which made us feel right at home. We are grateful to the front desk staff for their professionalism in resolving any issues we encountered. We would also like to give special thanks for the breakfast, which was both extensive and delicious. We were particularly touched by the restaurant manager, Yu Xia; she attended to us with warmth and professionalism every day, going above and beyond to ensure we could enjoy long-missed delicacies that evoked childhood memories.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Beijing. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and outstanding service throughout the stay. The Executive Lounge offered great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Convenient location near shopping and major attractions. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
