Impressed with Marriott On State St. Santa Barbara
Pros:

Highest stars for the cleanliness of the entire place, from the lobby, bar/restuarant, pool, restrooms, hallways, rooms and even the parking garage. The elevators came quickly and the room was super quiet with beautiful views all around. I also was traveling alone and felt safe there. I will definitely be back!

Best Courtyard!
Pros:

The Courtyard was the perfect place to stay to experience Santa Barbara. The staff especially Patrice was excellent. So friendly, helpful and professional . Rooms were clean and pool courtyard was great. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel .

This is a unique Courtyard by Marriott because of the layout. The room was comfortable and clean. The common areas including the pool and spa were attractive and centraly located. The hotel is ideally located in Santa Barbara.

Great place to stay and conveniently located in Downtown SB.
Pros:

The hotel is fabulously located in downtown Santa Barbara where you can walk to most restaurants. Our experience was very good with the hotel staff. The days we tried to use the hot tub it had debris in it, or the pool was closed due to an event. The hotel is very clean and welcoming.

Two different hotels in one?
Pros:

This hotel has been renovated recently, and it combines two properties. One side of the hotel has rooms that you enter from the outside hallway and I think those are older and some are situated right on State Street. They don't have balconies and I think the HVAC is old style. The other side feels like real courtyard marriott, with doors from an inside hallway, balconies, and excellent HVAC. I stayed on this side. The room was huge and extremely comfortable in all respects. I enjoyed the pool bar. HOWEVER, and this is important: if you get a room with a balcony and pool view it is **LOUD**. People down in the pool area and pool bar area are LOUD!!! It doesn't go very late at night, but I couldn't even hear my TV because of the noise during late afternoon. Sure, it's a nice view but be prepared!!! I would definitely stay here again but I would want to ensure I got the right room for me.
