Old world charm in the heart of Saigon.
Pros:

Location, the middle of Saigon. Professional staff in an old style magnificent hotel. I love the Opera House View rooms.

Very nice hotel
Pros:

Its location is perfect. The staff is helpful and kind.

Cons:

The door of our room was swinging open. I found it open when I was inside or saw it slightly opened by itself when we came from outside. I informed the reception and could show how the door was swinging open to the housekeeping team. Its because the hotel has its original furniture and the original historical room doors.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Gerne wieder.
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr hilfreich auch wenn wir etwas schwierig waren wegen schlechter Sprachkenntnisse.

Cons:

Frühstück könnte etwas länger sein. 9.30 Uhr ist etwas knapp für mich.

This is a great hotel if you want to experience a „grand hotel“ vibe. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and attentive

Cons:

I had a garden room because I did not care for the opera view (I was afraid of too much noise from the main street). Maybe the opera view rooms are different. My room itself was a good size and the bed was great, however you could smell the oldness and mold which is unacceptable. I stayed only three nights but booked a modern hotel for my following style. The bathroom is also unacceptable in my view. While of course I enjoy the original furniture and wooden crafted chairs etc, the bathroom was at least from the sixties, if not older. The tiles were broken, there is only an old dirty bathtub, no separate or walk-in shower, which (sorry) I would expect for that price. Again, the smell of humidity and mold is the point why I will never book again this old historic hotel.

A unique experience in the perfect place
Pros:

The Continental is a fabulous hotel, steeped in history. It retains the elegance of colonial France, and includes the energy of modern Vietnam. Located in the very centre of HCMC, next to the Opera House, it’s walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Breakfast is filling and delicious. The Opera view rooms have small balconies which give a view on the vibrant square. We saw the Bamboo Orchestra perform, had massages in side streets and enjoyed the scenery, it was as if the city came to us. The rooms are quiet and spacious

I loved staying in this historic and atmospheric hotel. I had an Opera Room with City view and it was perfect, so clean, so spacious. Yes the hotel is in central Saigon so expect noise and traffic, but not from inside the room! It was really easy to walk to places once you navigated Vietnamese traffic! The staff were very professional, so helpful and friendly - I miss the restaurant supervisor! I was advised you don't tip in Vietnam and I struggled because I think they deserved to be tipped, the Bell Hops were really helpful. I would stay here again and again. Thank you Hotel Continental

This is the heritage hotel as I expected. The room, service and breakfast food were all awesome. I love that it's across the street from the Opera House or House of Congress. I love that they know how to cherish the hotel heritage with a dedicated wall with memorable photos. Very classy.

Cons:

I was convinced to upgrade my room to another larger one. Maybe it was not larger, but the view might not be as good due to a tree blocking view to the Opera House.

First class house in a traditional style. Hospitality at its finest.
Pros:

We arrived early morning after a night spent in airplanes. The staff welcomed us friendly, made accommodations for the very early check-in and ushered us to a large room with hardwood flooring, a giant bed, an excellent bathroom and matching furniture throughout. The breakfast buffet in the garden is rich, the staff is friendly, quick and helpful.
This was an experience beyond expectation.

Cons:

The only drawback was that we had to leave.
