It was the perfect way to spend our days in HCMC
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Majestic - the location is excellent, the staff are wonderful, so courteous and ready to assist in any way. The rooms are well appointed, easy to access, spacious, beautiful bedding, great bathroom, we stayed in a Deluxe Twin. The buffet breakfast was delicious, a variety of food types, so much to choose from, a great way to start the day. The rooftop bar was perfect to enjoy a well earned refreshment after a busy day, whether touring or shopping, and of course this comes with the most wonderful view.

We could not find fault with anything at this establishment

Uncomfortable and over priced
Pros:

The services and personnel were very good, the best we had on our 3 weeks in Vietnam. The hotel is charming, keeping the 1925 original vibe. It is very clean, staff is extremely attentive and provide a real 5* treatment (which is rare in Vietnam, based on our experience). Breakfast is good (though it can get busy in the morning and hard to get a good table inside).

Cons:

The room was small and the AC blows directly on the bed. You cannot be without the AC (it’s always very hot), but the AC is very old and regardless of settings, fan direction and temperature doesn’t change. I got sick because of it (always very cold and blowing in my head during the night). The room we had faced the street, it was very loud and the curtains would not fully close. So you cannot have a nice quiet sleep - it’s noisy and with some light coming in, so ask for a room facing the pool. The smell! When we got it there was a nice perfume coming from a diffuser, but it was very strong and we didn’t want to sleep with it. We asked the staff to remove it and then we understood why it was there to begin with. There is a strong dump smell without it. The price: because we were there during the National Day holiday we paid 1.5 times the regular price, which fr what the hotel provides, it is not worth it (£130/night). The area is nice but extremely busy and everything is more expensive. Overall, we had a bad experience and I would not return

Pros:

It’s a beautiful building, it’s so well maintained and it hasn’t been ruined by renovations. The pool area is so calm and relaxing.

Cons:

The only thing is having to get in and out of the bath to shower, that’s just because it’s older.
