The grounds were very pretty and the wait staff at the restaurant were helpful and pleasant. We appreciated having a parking space near our room.
The front desk staff were not welcoming or gracious both when we arrived and when we left. The room was very small and dark. We got a text asking how things were and we responded that the coffee maker didn't work. No response. We called the front desk about the coffee maker and no one came to fix it. On our second day, no one came to clean our room. The only choice for breakfast was a $30/person buffet. It was way more food and way more expensive than we wanted. And there were no other choices anywhere near the hotel!
Historic Mansion was well preserved and restored!
The pool lounge chairs were few in number (3); the one we looked at was missing screws and bolts that are required to safety sit in the chair.
Nicely decorated. Staff was friendly
Rooms were small
Nice quiet, comfortable and romantic.
The food at the restaurant leaves things to be desired and is hardly worth the cost. I suggest eating dinner elsewhere
I like the surroundings, the fact that its close to a park but I didnt like how its right center to some residential neighborhoods. The hotel itself is on lovely grounds but the rooms are dark and space was taken up by plug in air purifiers/ac which I wish I knew about first hand. The breakfast is basic and could have been skipped.
I was hoping for a more remote location, away from everything and I felt smack in the middle of the suburbs. This is clearly a hotel used more for wedding venues.
Property was beautiful and well maintained. Easy to park and locate room and amenities
Was some noise travel from the landscapers but not too loud
Cheerful, clean, quiet rooms.
Check-in clerk could have been friendlier. She was much friendlier to the person who checked in right before me. Housekeeping staff, on the other hand, was super nice and accommodating!! They should be commended!! I asked for a couple of extra towels, and she brought them immediately. She was cheerful and very nice!
It was unique
Restaurant stove/hood was not operating so had to leave for dinner.
