Not happy!!
Cons:

Staff were unfriendly.
Wardrobe in kitchen.
Noisy room, 3rd floor road front.
Curtains did not block light out.
Beside lamps( lights)didnt work.
Water all over floor when i arrived, i slipped. The fridge was getting defrosted. I ended going down to reception and guy finally came up. He wiped floor with a towel he brought up, and then wiped bottom only of fridge.
I opened fridge later and water went everywhere all over the floor.
Nobody ever answered reception phone.
Very loud repairs getting done at 8pm, and started again around 8am. Not very good when you are trying to relax.

Pros:

Wir waren nach 2024 nun bereits das zweite Mal im Castle Bamboo Hotel. Es war wieder ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war größer als erwartet. Wir hatten 3 Balkone. Die Küche war super ausgestattet, mit großem Kühlschrank, Herd, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine. Es gab genug Schränke im Zimmer. Ein Safe war ebenfalls vorhanden und konnte kostenlos genutzt werden. Das Zimmer wurde auf Wunsch einmal pro Woche gereinigt. Handtücher gab es nach Bedarf. Das Personal an der Rezeption und das Housekeepingpersonal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei Problemen, wie einer defekten Lampe im Zimmer, wurde umgehend reagiert. Der Garten und Poolbereich ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Restaurant wurde von uns nicht genutzt, ist aber ein kulinarischer Geheimtip in Waikiki. Es gibt eine Tiefgarage in der man seinen Mietwagen parken kann, diese ist aber kostenpflichtig. Vom Hotel ist es nur ein 3 minütiger Spaziergang zum Waikiki Beach. An der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite ist eine Bushaltestelle von der man überall hinkommt.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder das Castle Bamboo Hotel für unseren Oahu Aufenthalt wählen.

Good sized beds, clean bathroom.

Cons:

1. Unit # 903 Bedroom AC not cooling, den AC barely working & rattling continuously. Front Desk said they knew # 903 had non-serviceable ACs, needed new ACs, yet rented out to me🤬. WTF. Shame. Took money, gave me a sauna!
2. Rowdy # 902 resident screaming at 2 AM on both nights for 1 hr - mental case next door. Beware. Was ready to call cops on 2nd night.
3. Hotel has a tiny luggage storage room: hence checkout day morning was hell for me.
4. Dim lighting in # 903 - near total darkness.

Pros:

Loved the pool and hot tub. Tv was a good size and in front of bed. The location was excellent! Staff were lovely and very helpful. We would stay there again. Air con was good.

Cons:

Hotel was tired. Lighting in bathroom was not bright enough to do make-up. Curtains did not block out morning sun. Could do with more draw space but we just left our suitcases on the luggage racks provided. Hot plate in kitchenette very slow. Took nearly an hour to cook bacon and eggs or a toasted sandwhich. No kettle in room but quickly provided when asked.

Disappointing to be given inappropriate room
Pros:

The gardens were kept immaculately and downstairs lobby was good with good wifi

Cons:

On arrival we were given a room which was not what we had booked. After asking why we had been given a student room consisting of 2 beds, 2 desks and 2 office chairs when we had booked a studio room for a retired couple. The room had no comfortable seating and was cramped. The following day we were offered another room which was what we had originally booked.

Bamboo looking a little tired.
Pros:

Location to Waikiki.

Cons:

The hotel is looking old and run down. There is an old musty smell about the place, stained lounge in our room. The front desk staff are not very friendly and anyone can just walk in there, there is no security.

It’s very tired, shabby lampshades etc. kitchen facilities were not great no electric jug no wine glasses. TV didn’t work had to get maintenance man after 2 days of requesting he finally came.

Great little hotel
Pros:

Great position, central to everything. Older hotel but had everything you need for a great holiday.
Our room had a kitchenette, so that was very handy for breakfast each morning. There were enough kitchen facilities that you could cook dinner if needed.
Staff were wonderful, I left a swimsuit there when I checked out, called them, and they had already put it aside for me to pick up on my return to Waikiki.

Nice small old school hotel. Great location, staff and overall vibe.
Pros:

Great location, super staff, liked the vibe of this laid-back small hotel.

Cons:

Wasn’t fully comfortable with the security as sometimes the front desk was not manned (maybe for 15 minutes at a time) so there was no control over access to the property and guest luggage was out in the open rather than being stored securely.

Great, nice and central
Pros:

We had a kitchenette room on the 11th floor, and it was great. We had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Pool was wonderful, nice and small, and the added bonus of not having hundreds of people there fighting for sun lounges
