Stylish period accommodation in a quite location yet only a short distance into Aberdeen City Centre.
Some of the furniture and furnishings are starting to show its age.

The location was very convenient with excellent on-site parking. The traditional dining room was peaceful with friendly and efficient staff. Our deluxe double room was spacious and generally comfortable.
Some of the decor was tired with cracked bathroom tiles and taps that didn't give a regular stream of water. There was enough dust in the room /soft furnishings to aggravate my asthma symptoms every night, partly due to glass covers on wooden furniture with visible dust layers trapped between. On one day the room wasn't serviced.

Manned reception more. Even when we rang the bellit took ages for someone to come and check us in :)
En couple, nous avons apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel bien situé, dans lequel nous avons logé pour visiter la réserve des phoques : The Forvie National Nature. Nous nous sommes sentis immergés dans le fabuleux décor passé de la bâtisse exquise qui a gardé son esprit ancien intact, ainsi que la décoration so british. L'accueil y a été excellent, et le personnel très aimable nous a accompagné dans la visite, nous parlant du fondateur de la maison. L'escalier central était merveilleusement décoré de fleurs pour une célébration. Nous nous sommes sentis, de fait, dans un cadre très romantique. Dans la chambre numéro 530 en étage, nous avons eu la chambre exacte que nous avions réservée et avons aimé son très grand confort. La pièce était agréablement spacieuse. Nous avons adoré le petit salon à côté d'une grande fenêtre donnant une vue sur les arbres, où nous avons pu prendre le thé ou le café compris dans le prix et à disposition dans la chambre. Nous avons de la gratitude pour le sèche serviette chauffant qui a assuré le confort de la sortie de douche et les produits de toilettes à disposition. Nous avons constaté le calme absolu de la chambre. Le petit-déjeuner était bien fourni, correct et s'est fait dans une salle-à manger absolument exquise, sublimée par les rayons du soleil naissant au matin, qui nous a plongés dans un autre temps et que nous aurions voulu ne jamais quitter.

Malgré la grandeur du lit, nous avons eu un sommeil inconfortable, car bien que nous ayons réservé une chambre double Deluxe avec un grand lit ordinaire, nous avons eu des lits jumeaux qui ont été rapprochés pour faire un grand lit. De fait, la jointure au milieu et l'affaissement central ont causé un mauvais sommeil. Nous avons regretté d'avoir un seul coussin assez plat pour la tête, et n'avons pas été informés qu'il y en avait d'autres à disposition, rangés dans la chambre. Nous l'avons découvert au matin. Il y avait des tâches sur le lit, et les couvertures laissaient des peluches blanches partout sur le pyjama. Mais notre inconvénient majeur est resté de ne pas avoir de brosse à récurer pour les toilettes ; c'était assez gênant pour nous vis à vis des agent(e)s de ménage, car nous sommes soucieux d'être respectueux.

Waiting 45 minutes for no one to come and take my breakfast order and I ended up having to leave without it due to check out time.

It’s dusty place, need to steam clean, replace carpets, furniture poor, worn, wobbly. Breakfast was average, fresher fruit required, You had to pay extra for some items for breakfast? Eating at restaurant was more expensive than eating in the bar?
