Hotel Willo provides a no frills stay within downtown Vancouver given the fact that over the next few weeks, the hotel price will definitely increase alot due to the upcoming fifa world cup.

Nonetheless, the room is comfortable enough for 5 nights of sleep and the shared toilet facilities were mostly well maintained by the house keeping team.

Also, free coffee in the morning at the front desk too! Tks hotel willo for such a decent stay

Downtown

While I love this initiative, my stay at Willo was not great. I booked a room with a private bathroom, and while the bathroom was modern and nice, the room itself was tiny and absolute bare bones. The bed was fine, the curtains reminded me of a dorm room (block out curtains only, no sheer curtains), the wires from the TV and other electrical equipment were glued to the wall and the glue was peeling off, and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (only downstairs in the lobby). The bathroom sink is located outside the bathroom (it's next to the fridge in the room itself), which doesn't make sense to me. There is no restaurant onsite which meant no breakfast or room service (which is honestly not that big if a deal to me, but might be important for others). The hotel lobby seating area was gross. There are cream coloured couches that were so dirty and stained and felt sticky in some areas, it was just a bit yuck. Then to top it all off, the smoke alarm in my room went off the first night I was there and the staff couldn't fix it and maintenance had already left for the day. A staff member tried to fix it but couldn't, so I decided to leave and check in to another hotel at 11:30pm, which was stressful and inconvenient. Thankfully, I was given a full refund for my stay as I didn't even end up staying there one night. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the staff are really lovely and helpful, the hotel itself is located on a great area (walking distance to Gastown and Yaletown), and the price was the most budget friendly I found. If you're not into anything fancy and are traveling alone, Willo is ok. The standard rooms are a very tight squeeze for a couple, though I'm not sure if there are bigger rooms available. Sorry to say, but personally, I wouldn't stay at Willo in the future unless I was desperate.

Très bien placé. Tout se fait à pied. Métro à proximité. Le personnel a été excellent et très serviable sauf l’employée qui a refusé d’imprimer mon document de 6 pages recto verso cat c’était « trop de pages ». Heureusement une autre employée a été flexible.
