The best
Pros:

this hotel still has the grandeur of the 1960's it is the best hotel I have stayed in. We spent the first night of our honeymoon
in 1963 and came back many times with Peter Schlesinger whose family owned the hotel. What a joy that was.
Thank you for keeping this super luxury hotel so beauty fully.

Cons:

only one thing, you need t make sure the ATM works, it's your name not some banking company

The booked room AC was not working, fast Arrangements were done by the property and upgrade the room free of cost.

Falta de atención y cuidado.
Pros:

El hotel es muy bonito pero necesita más mantenimiento. Las personas de la entrada y las que ayudan con las maletas, los camareros etc son estupendos

Las personas en la recepción se enteran poco de las cosas. Yo estuve tres veces en esta ocasión en todas advertí que soy alérgica a las plumas y que no me pusieran almohadas de pluma en todas se les olvidó. Cada vez que llegábamos estábamos casi una hora para que nos pudieran adjudicar las habitaciones aunque llegábamos muy cansados y habíamos advertido la hora de llegada y el tipo de habitaciones que queríamos.
El último día encargamos que nos prepararan el desayuno y se les había olvidado.Esperamos un poco y nos prepararon una caja que no tenía ni siquiera dos desayunos completos cuando nos tenían que poner cuatro desayunos.

En la primera estancia no sólo no estaban las almohadas sino que el secador de pelo estaba roto.
La segunda estancia estuvimos en la parte nueva y se les había olvidado poner las almohadas adecuadas. Debido a nuestra edad pedimos que la tercera estancia nos pusieran de nuevo en la parte antigua porque había que bajar para ir a la parte moderna dos pisos de escaleras, y somos personas de la tercera edad. Llegamos y nos tenían preparadas las habitaciones en la parte moderna a pesar de la insistencia de que no podíamos bajar tantas escaleras. No comprendemos que pasa, si es que no lo apuntan o no ponen interés.Son una pena esos detalles y descuidos en un hotel tan bonito y en tan buen lugar.

Location excellent, history profound

Cons:

Breakfast frustrating for coffee, 4 staff to take your room number and mill around the door and not one can get coffee. Has to wait for over extended waiter to assist. Surely getting guests cups of coffee is not beneath the greeting work? Even the b'fast manager

Great location, ocean view room and walkable to restaurants and local markets
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location, in the Polana district, and was within walking distance to restaurants such as Mundo's, Artistas, Delicias de Zambezia, local markets and Gloria Mall. I did not go to the beach but I had a view of the ocean and a balcony. The rooms were modern and clean. The staff were friendly and the concierge always had tips about places to go. The hotel was a great value for the price.
