Disappointed.
Cons:

Booking.com added extra late check out at 16:00.
I confirm this at the reception, they said this policy doesn't exist and insist we checked out earlier.

This created a verbal confrontation which destroyed the stay in totally. They advised Booking.com is responsible for fasle advertisement.

Fabulous breakfast!

Cons:

Check in took too long for us as we were allocated rooms in the new concrete wing of the hotel whereas the reason we booked at Polana was to enjoy the old works charm. We were moved but really communication should have been better at check in. Frustrating as we only had a short afternoon to enjoy the hotel before moving on early the next morning.

We love The Polana and plan to stay there with every possible opportunity in the future!
Pros:

The Polana is a special place for both my husband and me. Every time we visit Mozambique, we find time to stay for at least a night or two. Every space is gorgeous. The service is exceptional. The food and drinks are A+. The spa is perfect. The view is amazing. We even got to watch the FIFA World Cup finals live! We wish we could afford to live there lol

Cons:

It is expensive. Not just the room, but any food and drink that aren't included with the room. The free areas of the spa are amazing, but booking a short massage was pricey.
