FANTASTIC!
Pros:

The place was great. Richard at the desk was extremely helpful and had a great attitude. I would definitely stay there again.

Low quality hotel
Pros:

I booked this hotel due to the high review scores but have immediately regretted my decision. The room is very uncomfortable and I'm not sure how people could have possibly been happy with their stay; everything from the bed to the couch is not good quality, and the layout and decor makes absolutely no sense. To make matters worse the lighting in the room is very dim and there's barely any natural light due to a small window. I'm seriously considering just leaving early and staying somewhere else because I have no idea how I'll get a good night's sleep here during my vacation. I will never make the mistake again of staying at an Ayres.

Not Terrible, but under delivered on expectations.

The property was not bad, and my discontent was that it was below what I had expected. I have stayed at other properties in South Orange County that were less money and better.

Pros:

friendly staff, good size room. easy check-in checkout. had both fridge and microwave. comfortable stay.

breakfast selection had sausage, potatoes, pancakes, bagels, strawberry yogurt, cereal, fruit everyday

free cookies at front desk mid day

had convenient self serve snacks ready for purchase

Cons:

thin walls, Can hear hallway and other people in their rooms.

beds sunk a little but slept ok

large roach outside near car drop-off area near front at night.

Pros:

We really enjoyed how clean everything was and the really good breakfast.

Cons:

We didn't love the banging noise that kept occurring around 8am every morning. I don't know if it was other guests in their rooms or the cleaning staff, but that was a bit jarring to hear. Not sure what would generate such disruptive noises or why people can't be considerate of neighboring rooms.

Enjoyed our stay
Pros:

The rooms and public areas are beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was good. Parking easy and plentiful.

Cons:

It's a bit more expensive in this area than most other parts of Southern California. Also, the breakfast area is small and gets very crowded and noisy on weekends.
