Emily the bartender was very vibrant and gave me a discount on my drink today. She was simply amazing and friendly! I highly recommend her.
Corner room
Roof top bar
Only one elevator took you to the roof top bar
Very clean, nice staff!
The location was good and staff friendly.
Dated tired damaged decor and furniture .
Great staff everyone was courteous and helpful, food was very good, great location to Alabama Theater,
Facility needs updating. The flash flood kept us from enjoying the rooftop bar
Breakfast was good - purchased at onsite restaurant.
My wife and I spent one night here so that we could visit civil rights sites. Here are my brief observations:
1. The location is excellent; it is a short drive to the Civil Rights Museum and the 16th Street Baptist Church.
2. The valets were exceedingly nice and helpful.
3. In an otherwise mediocre breakfast, I want to compliment the young waitress who helped us. She was very sweet and polite.
4. The rooftop bar has wonderful vies of the city.
5. The gym has two brand new Peletons. I tried all my tricks, but they would not work. I reported the issue to the night clerk, and he tried to help me. He said he would tell maintenance. I tried the next day, and they were still not working. I told the clerk. "I know," she retorted, "they have not worked for months." What the hell? Why have them if you are going to let them sit there inoperable. Fix them!
Walkable to restaurants. Scooter rental was convenient. Friendly staff, comfortable room.
Elevator service was spotty. Not much coffee available on Sunday morning.
The rooftop and the authentic details
The smell of damp in the room.
Sam who greeted us and served as our value was the highlight of our guest experience. Professional, helpful and kind.
The hotel is extremely dated and not well kept. The elevators were not working. It is not very clean. Rooms are not very comfortable.
Jaron with valet deserves a 5/5. Other than that definitely wouldn’t stay here again. While it wasn’t the worse I’ve ever stayed it wasn’t worth the amount we paid. Bathroom floor and shower need remodeling OR deep cleaning. Elevators need to be fixed. Housekeeping need to be paid more to do a better job or trained because I had to request room be vacuumed. There was a yellow spot on comforter. Front desk in the evening were nice but forgot to send up needed sheets since we couldn’t be switched to a double room from a king (had to buy an air mattress). I highly suggest renovating especially with pulling up the carpet. In 2026 no hotel should have carpet. This place has potential but renovation and training is needed. Once again, shout out to Jaron for making the stay pleasant regardless of the other issues.
The Redmont Hotel is fantastic. Even though the elevators were down, we loved this hotel. The reason being was the staff. Sam, the doorman, and his staff will greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome every single time they open the door for you. They are awesome. The rooftop bar is great, but the lobby bar is even better.
My room was not ready at 6pm. The next room was dirty. None of the elevators work. Whoever gave this hotel a high rating has obviously never stayed here. And it was $350 per night.
I’ll start with the gold. The guys running valet are awesome. That’s literally where the good ends. The hotel is very busy and the elevator has been broken for a week. All foot traffic to rooms, the roof top bar and staff goes through the service elevator. That was annoying but just the beginning. The bed is an old spring bed that’s seen its last good day and the pillows are like sleeping on crumpled tissue paper. We noticed our body wash was empty so I mentioned it to the front desk on our way out, when we returned, our bed was made but literally nothing else was done to the room. No new coffee pods, no new water bottles and no body wash. The hotel doesn’t come with a hair dryer (which is bizarre). I went to the lobby at 5 am for a fresh coffee pod, the guy working the front desk was scrolling his phone. The lobby was full of trash. Taco Bell bags, beer cans etc.
