Es gab keinen richtigen Fahrradparkplatz. Das Rad musste im Hof im Freien neben den Leihrädern abgestellt werden. Der Hof ist wohl nachts durch ein Gittertor gesichert.

I am reposting this review because TripAdvisor removed my original post following the hotel's recent renovation. However, excellent decor does not change poor customer service, and my experience remains highly relevant for future guests.
I stayed at the Carlton Beach Hotel Scheveningen with a friend and checked out at 12:00 PM. A few hours later, on my way home, I realized I had left a brand-new blouse and trousers hanging in the room's wardrobe. Since the clothes had only been worn once and I really liked them, I immediately called the reception at around 2:30 PM.
The receptionist indifferently told me that if anything was found, it would be uploaded to the "iLost" website. Trusting her, I waited. In hindsight, the reception team made absolutely zero effort to proactively help a guest who had called within hours of checkout.
By Monday, the items were still not online. I called again, and the reception promised to investigate and call me back. They never did.
On Wednesday, I decided to visit the hotel in person to retrieve my clothes. To my utter shock, the reception desk simply told me, "We don't have your clothes." Despite me calling the exact same day we checked out, they claimed they didn't know who had cleaned the room, and no one took responsibility.
It feels as though the Carlton Beach Hotel filters through forgotten items, allowing staff to keep valuable, nice clothing for themselves. You will likely never see your lost belongings again. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with the General Manager to explain the situation, she completely refused to talk to us.
Due to the total lack of accountability and disrespect, I have filed an official police report for theft. Beautiful location, but terrible ethics and customer service.

Die Zimmer waren sehr alt, passten überhaupt nicht zum Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, die Balkontür, war undicht und hat beim Wind geklappert! Es waren Mäuse im Speisesaal, wenn es abends leerer wurde.
