We had an absolutely brilliant stay at this wonderful hotel at the foot of the pyramids. The hotel facilities are wonderful, food in restaurant 139 Pavillon delicious. Tour arrangements a breeze to organise through the very helpful and welcoming team on site. This is a truly special hotel and we hope to be back.
Location , pool
A localização do Hotel é soberba.
No geral, adoramos a nossa estadia.
Location amazing, overlooking the Pyamids
Nothing
The location is second to none! Overlooking the Pyramids.
Nothing
We had a pyramid view room that was perfect. From our veranda we could see the Great Pyramid perfectly framing the view just like a postcard. It is right next door to the pyramids and the sphinx. There are pyramid views at many locations throughout the property. The staff was absolutely the best... warm, friendly and helpful. The 139 Restaurant was excellent. Our included breakfast was the best we've ever had, and we have stayed at many hotels.
What we didn't most like was having to leave the Marriott Mena House. If I had to give them one tip for constructive criticism, I would say they could improve upon the shower. Rather than a combined bathtub and shower, we both would have preferred a fully enclosed shower, no tub, with a handheld shower head option. But honestly, this hotel is a good as it gets. If you're coming to see the pyramids and the sphinx, you should absolutely treat yourself to the Mena House. The price is not cheap, but we consider it a bargain for what you're getting.
Incrível
Tudo perfeito
The view is one of the best in the world, doesn't really need any explanation.
Breakfast was ample and with an incredible variety. The Marriott bakery in Zamalek supplies all their pastry and baked goods, and it's as good as it was 40 years ago. The food was very good in 139 Pavillion, both the local and the international. I encourage visitors to try the koshary.
The service and customer service overall was exemplary.
The hotel is beautiful and has a rich history. It's absolutely
The pool does not have an easily accessible step. I was restricted to using the kid's pool, as I would not have been able to get in and out. This is the reason I cannot give a 10, no matter how amazing the stay was.
Also, the pool no longer looks out to the Pyramids, like in the Oberoi days, no pool bar, etc. I understand the tactical move away from a resort-type setup to more of a wedding venue, but still...
Only location and pyramid view green garden
Service is so bad almost no Service ; they request passort copy before reaching hotel to accelerate access in but nothing done by those copy and feelup requirements take 45min ; on the morning when weakup no one was on Service before 8 am reception impety no one on all hotel to ask him one question , no shop even for important thing no pharmacy they dont have even panadol when i order online they didn't allow rider to access in they ask me to collect by myself i gone to the gate to collect they say no you need to go to main entrance outside which is kimlomter far away , i has guest i want reserve table they say we dont have restaurant open now only the main one buffet when i request to reserve table they mention no reservation first in first served when i go i find all tables reserved .
My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Mena House in April 2026 and loved it. As a Bonvoy member, they treated us very well. And cannot say enough about the location. A bit pricy, but it was worth it with the proximity to the GEM and the pyramids.
A special thanks to some of the staff.
- Ahmed who took care of our room in the old wing was fantastic.
- Dunya at the concierge desk took great care of us and arranged everything for our visit to the pyramids.
- Mohamad drove us in the golf cart up to the entrance of the pyramids and was waiting there when we returned with ice cold water. He was just great.
Please thank each of them for helping to make our stay so special.
