I was there for one night for work and it was fine but not great.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast and excellent staff throughout the hotel (I had dealings with cleaners, reception and management and all were delightful and very helpful)

Cons:

Hotel needs a bit of TLC. Carpets in the hallway on the first floor looked grubby, and the overall impression of the hallway to bedrooms was tired and unwelcoming. Room was fine but thank goodness the aircon worked as the window catch was broken and it was impossible to open the window, Room had a distinctly musty smell, probably as a result of the window situation.

A very pleasant few days stay in a very clean hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

The hotel was situated a good twenty minutes walk from the pier and beaches. Buses to Poole, Wimborne and Christchurch were a two minute walk just outside the hotel.
Breakfast was excellent with a huge range of products for a continental breakfast or cooked. Pleased to find that the shower in our room was a bog standard one and not one that takes forever to fathom out.

Cons:

Our room was very clean but could probably do with a light refurb. We found the queen sized bed a little cramped as we’re used to sleeping in a king sized one and the sheets appeared to be too small for the bed as you couldn’t tuck them under. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant the evening we arrived, lasagne for myself and butterfly chicken for my husband but unfortunately were not impressed with either.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and the worst part was the unacceptable handling of my luggage.

I left my bag in the hotel’s luggage room, but the staff member placed a different room number tag on it. As a result, I came very close to losing my luggage. I was extremely lucky that it was not lost, but the incident left me feeling distressed and traumatised. This is a serious failure in the handling and security of guests’ belongings and is completely unacceptable.

I had specifically requested a room on a higher floor. Despite plenty of rooms appearing to be available, I was given a dreadful room next to the elevators, with a connecting door to another room. Throughout the night, I could hear the television and noise from the neighbouring guests, making it very difficult to rest.

When I asked to change rooms, the staff told me that the hotel was fully booked. However, when I checked Booking.com, several rooms still appeared to be available for that night. This left me questioning the explanation I had been given and the willingness of the staff to help resolve the situation.

To make matters worse, when I opened the window hoping to enjoy some fresh sea air, an unpleasant drain smell entered the room early in the morning. The shower drain was also blocked, adding to the overall discomfort of my stay.

Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. The poor room allocation, lack of assistance, unpleasant smell, blocked shower drain and, above all, the serious mishandling of my luggage made my stay far below expectations.

The luggage incident was particularly alarming and should never have happened. Guests should be able to trust a hotel to look after their belongings safely. I left this hotel feeling extremely disappointed and distressed, and I sincerely hope management takes these issues seriously to prevent other guests from experiencing the same problems.

Et enkelt men innbydende hotell som ligger i nærheten av både strand og sentrum av Bournemouth.
Pros:

Lite hotell med gode og enkle fasiliteter. Stort rom og bad, stille gate, god frokost. Relativt nytt og moderne hotell. Har vært der en gang tidligere for ca ti år siden, og da var hotellet helt nytt. Bar noe preg av årene som har gått, men likevel innbydende og fint fortsatt. Fin frokostsal i front av resepsjonen. Enkel frokost med standard engelsk utvalg, men velsmakende og innbydende buffet. Nydelig kaffe fra kaffemaskinen i frokostsalen.

Cons:

Det er teppe på gulvet på deler av rommet. Parkettgulv rett innenfor døren, og fliser på gulvet på badet. Ville foretrukket at det var gulv uten teppe, men det så likevel rent og pent ut.

Over night stay for business, good location.

Cons:

Wheelchair access from car park extremely challenging!! Need key card to enter from car park which is not issued until you check in. Impossible ramp to push wheelchair from underground car park to reception to check in. Luckily I had help from a fellow guest as no way of contacting reception from the car park.

Great stay
Pros:

The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room and bed were comfortable. Parking was included in the rate we paid which was an added bonus in Bournemouth. Good quality breakfast is also included. Easy walk down to the pier and shops.
