Would not recommend. Dirty apartments, did not supply correct number of items, mould.

Cons:

I would not recommend Coconut Grove holiday apartments at all for your stay at Darwin. There are definitely better accomodation locations.

First, on arrival, we checked into our room (we had 4 people) and we entered our room and was provided with two pillows.

We went out to ask for two more pillows as we were a booking of 4 and told they did not have enough pillows.

Second of all we were provided only 2 towels, for a 4 person booking so we went to reception to ask for more towels. The person who appeared to be the manager came out and said “how long are you staying? “

“Why are there 4 people in your room?” And proceeded to check on the system opposed to giving us 4 towels to be used. The fact we checked in with 4 people and was not provided with the right items, for 4 people, and then proceeding to “run checks” shows the complex focus’ more on poor customer service and power trips than actually doing their jobs properly. The manager is focused on treating customers like the name of the street the property is on.

The photos on their website and booking.com are definitely just click bait. There’s no need to do water sports, because the bathroom which has mould all over just simply floods and turns into a pool itself when you take a shower.

The hotel also ensures you experience the best experience by providing a booking of 4 with x12 plates and x1 bowl.

The place is also filled with mould.

Budget accommodation
Pros:

Bed was comfortable, great water pressure in the shower and unit was cooled well. Unit was convenient and on the cheaper side for Darwin.

Cons:

No WiFi, so slow it was pointless. Maintenance on the property was appalling, masking tape used to repair the carpets, tiles lifted in the kitchen so walking without shoes was risking cut feet. Too many different gate codes to get in and out of the property but this did mean the property was secure. We booked for 3 so pull out had sheets but unit only had 2 small pillows and cutlery and crockery for 2. Luckily I arrived a day ahead of the rest of the family and was able to ask for missing items otherwise we would have slept without pillows.

Cons:

So picture are not what the rooms are like. Couch has a sheet over it cover the fact that is dirty, loose towel rails the shower head broke off the common areas are cluttered with things. I honestly could not wait for us to leave. For what we paid not worth it at all.

A convenient location for a one night stop over if flying. The room was clean.
Pros:

The room was clean; the bathroom was clean with reasonably new toilet and tiling. The TV worked and the air-condition was a split system.

Cons:

There were only three pillows, a fourth would have been helpful. The was a bead spread for one bed only and no blankets.

Overall it was a great stay.
Pros:

I liked how central it was to the city and other shops. Staff were friendly and accommodating too. Having parking on premises was really helpful

Cons:

Probably the cleanliness could improve more, and some of the equipment is already broken or damaged when we arrived, such as the doors, carpet heavily stained, and kitchen drawers.

We had a pleasant stay. The location was great, the property was comfortable, and everything was easy to access.
Pros:

Easy to access, even though there were several entrance codes. Great location and convenient for getting around.

Cons:

My only suggestion is regarding the bathroom access. As we were three people and my uncle slept outside the bedroom, it was a bit inconvenient that the bathroom was located inside our room, as I was sharing it with my husband.
