Pleasant option for a short stay
Pros:

The location is good and quiet, and the outdoor courtyard is absolutely lovely. For a short stay, it is a good budget option. They have 2 parking areas, so unless the hotel is completely full parking shouldn't be a problem

Cons:

The whole hotel feels rather outdated and would definitely benefit from an upgrade. While the area is very quiet, the soundproofing between rooms and hall is not too great

Good hotel with good food and wonderful staff
Pros:

Everything. The staff went above and beyond when I was taken ill in the restaurant - I can't praise their kindness and common sense highly enough. Breakfast was good, too.

Cons:

Dining room was a bit cold in the evening.

Good 2 night stop to revisit Winchester
Pros:

Most of the staff were helpful, breakfast was good with a decent choice, room was fine and bed comfy although could do with a little TLC. Bar staff stood out as being good at their role.

Cons:

Car park is quite tight and not lots of space. Always prefer a walk in shower, rather than one over a bath.

£180 for one night. No bar facilities after 22:30. Pathetic. impolite staff member in lobby when we returned. Great location however go elsewhere if possible imho

Friendly stay, with excellent breakfast.
Pros:

We were particularly impressed with the buffet breakfast. For example there was a range of prepared fruits, raw honeycomb, as well as all the standard items. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Sitting in the garden in the sunshine was a joy.

Perfect location
Pros:

Lovely old building close to all attractions in the city. Our room in the annex was very good with a view over the gardens. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons:

All was good but I expect it may get noisy when the weather improves as more people use the gardens. Some glitches with restocking tea and milk but reception staff sorted us out. I wish hotels would put on lighter quilts in the summer.

Great stay again
Pros:

We were lucky enough to stay in the main building this year which was lovely and better than the annexe. Best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had!

Bel établissement classique très bien situé près du centre.
Pros:

Bon hôtel bien situé dans le centre de Winchester et disposant d'un parking.
Les chambres son très propres élégantes d'un style un peu désuet mais charmant. Elles sont bien équipées et vastes. Nous avions eu la chance d'être "upgradés" vers un suite et il n'y a donc rien à redire.
L'hôtel dispose d'un beau jardin où il est agréable de prendre un rafraîchissement.
Le restaurant est correct et le petit déjeuner est très complet.

Cons:

Rien de négatif à signaler, tout au plus, si vous employez le parking, soyez prêts à manœuvrer avec habilité.
