A little get away in a beautiful city
Pros:

Under construction but rooms were clean and plenty of parking. The breakfast was delicious with variety..
Near main city attractions and stores.

Cons:

No elevators all stairs but not as bad only 2 floors.

Pros:

My first room, the door wouldn't open. The manager couldn't get It open either. Then my second room, the door was painted shut and it wouldn't open. The manager had to force the door open with his shoulder and body. The bed was not soft, too hard.

Great staff thru and thru. Loved staying here. Very little traffic noice from our room.
Pros:

We needed a hotel close to our concert and this place fell right in line with the location, 3.5 miles away.

Cons:

Some construction materials visible but no work was going on.

Gem in South Orange County
Pros:

We stayed in one of the renovated rooms on the 2nd floor, facing the pool. The beds were perfectly made, plenty of pillows, super comfortable bedding,..it was wonderful. The room was spotless. The pool was at a perfect temp and relaxing to lounge at. Breakfast was impressive! All of the standards for a hotel breakfast,. THE SLICED SMOKED MAPLE SAUSAGE WAS THE BEST! Joy, the front desk manager, gave us great recommendations to dine at. I called for a late check out and Alyssa answered and addressed me by my first name and already anticipated what I was calling about. She was so kind and professional. A+ customer service at this hotel. The hotel is under a renovation of all of the guest rooms. So be patient with this hotel! It is a go to place in the OC! We will be back.

Wonderful
Pros:

We stayed in a newly renovated room with a balcony on the second floor of the building furthest from the entrance. It was very clean, spotless restroom and bedding. The bed was nice and not too firm, with comfy pillow. The breakfast was delicious-options were: scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, toast, oatmeal, assorted cereals, danishes, bagels, bananas, apples, assorted fruit juices, milk, tea and coffee. We arrived early and were unable to check in, but Joy, at the front desk, gave us a key to the pool area to use the restroom (after a 7 hour drive). We had our dog with us, and the neighborhood was great for walks.

Pros:

Breakfast was decent to good, good quantity.

Cons:

Much older looking than pictures portrayed. Old mattresses & boxsprings alongside side and back of building and yellow crime tape (not kidding!) around entrance of office was pathetic! The appearance much more like an old & used-up travelodge than the way the pics portray.

Disgusting, with roaches in the room. Found out that there is construction going on the rooms next to us

The lady running the front office in the morning was understandable and professional.

Cons:

Our room had roaches in it. We saw them in the middle of the night and it was too late to request another room. I got an email from booking.com and they asked why we didn’t notify the front office to change rooms. They said we could have been moved to a newly renovated room. If that was available, why wasn’t that offered to us when we checked in?

Perfect for a good rest and great breakfast!
Pros:

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and complete with a recliner chair. Enough space to maneuver and plenty of counter to place my belongings. If have the opportunity to stay again, I definitely will.

Cons:

Only thing was my room was next to stairwell and I could hear every time someone went up and down the stairs with or without their luggage. Not much the complex could do about that without doing major construction to soundproof the walls and doors.

Overall it was a good stay and we’d stay there again.
Pros:

The location was great, easy access to historic San Juan Capistrano as well as San Clemente. The morning breakfast was fabulous!! Fresh, hot and delicious. Wonderful variety- eggs, sausages, potatoes, waffles, fresh homemade oatmeal, yogurt, fruit- it really was excellent.

Cons:

It was being remodeled and they were working on the room next door which made resting on a weekday afternoon difficult due to the noise.
The Spa (jacuzzi) was broken.
