Superb location and amazing staff.
Pros:

Staff fantastic and excellent location - highlight being the live singer and guitarist on Wednesday evening who were amazing.

El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente cerca del centro, y a pocos metros hay una estación de metro. La habitación era muy amplia, cómoda y estaba impecable. El desayuno fue genial, con muchísimas opciones y cosas ricas, para todos los gustos.

Το ξενοδοχείο βρίσκεται σε εξαιρετική τοποθεσία. Είναι κοντά σε μετρό ωστόσο πολλά αξιοθέατα μπορείς να τα επισκεφθείς και με τα πόδια.
Είναι δίπλα σε ωραία μαγαζιά για φαγητό και είναι σε κεντρικό σημείο.
Το δωμάτιο ήταν άνετο και πολύ καθαρό

I had one of the most DISTURBING and UNACCEPTABLE hotel experiences of my life at HCC Montblanc
Cons:

I had one of the most disturbing and unacceptable hotel experiences of my life at HCC Montblanc in Barcelona.

During breakfast inside the hotel restaurant — an area that is supposedly protected through room and guest verification controls — my wife’s bag was stolen within seconds. The bag contained cash, bank cards, valuable personal belongings, identity documents, and an iPhone.

What shocked us even more than the theft itself was the hotel’s complete indifference and failure to react professionally.

We informed the hotel staff almost immediately (within approximately 30 seconds, a fact confirmed by the hotel’s own CCTV footage), while there was still a realistic possibility to identify or follow the perpetrator. Instead of taking urgent action, reviewing cameras immediately, securing exits, or assisting guests whose valuables had just been stolen inside their premises, the hotel manager simply told us to go to the police.

This raises extremely serious concerns regarding both security and staff training. If access to the breakfast area is truly controlled by room verification and guest identification, then unauthorized individuals should never have been able to enter that area in the first place.

Even more concerning, only around 10 hours later did the hotel manager admit that CCTV footage existed and had already been reviewed. We were informed that they “could not identify the thief” and that the footage would only be provided to police if necessary. No meaningful assistance, responsibility, urgency, or customer care was shown at any stage.

A hotel is not judged only by its rooms or location. It is judged by how it protects guests and how it reacts when something serious happens inside its property. In our case, HCC Montblanc failed entirely in both respects.

I strongly advise travelers to think very carefully before staying at this hotel, especially if you care about personal safety, security standards, accountability, and professional treatment.
