Modern clean and a relaxing environment
N/a throughly enjoyed our stay
Public and grill reasonable prices good atmosphere
Room was very warm and therefore uncomfortable to sleep
Breakfast staff were really nice and helpful and breakfast was delicious! Issue with lift on arrival so as we are disabled we were escorted to the service lift. I had received a courtesy y call the day before to inform me also which I thought was considerate.
No lift.
A lot of prom noise. Gym users parking in blue badge spaces when they are not disabled! If that was a public car park they would get a ticket.
Room decor
Only one lift which was broken. Charged for parking. No grab rail in shower.
Everything was excellent 👍
Nothing
The hotel was lovely, food was good, bar staff very friendly and attentive. The bar area looked great especially for the football. Hotel room was spacious and A/C was great. TV in room was a great size. Bed. Very comfortable and slept well. The general feel from the hotel felt superior.
After a 4hr drive and feeling a little dehydrated from the heat (35’c), the self serve check in wasn’t favoured unfortunately. The assistance provided could have been better, given that I possibly did look rather stressed. No help with directions to room and the lift was out of order. So immediate impressions weren’t great. A little shy with the available coffee in the room. Bed could have done with some cushions to sit more comfortably when watching TV. The TV seemed to have restrictions so couldn’t connect Netflix etc.
Starbucks and gym, clean room
Starbucks staff in the hotel were miserable, but apart from that all ok
Every thing was great.
Lift was broken, so stairs where a problem
Room was spacious and clean enough. Would recommend it for a short stay.
Sometimes due to limited availability, early check in is not available and that can cause problems. However there is enough space in the lobby and the Starbucks Coffee Shop to spend some time or work on your leptop.
Breakfast was very good value - ample choice and all kept warm under heated cloches. Pool was a great way to relax at the end of the day and good facilities including sauna, steam room, hot tub., etc. Had a tour of the gym (but did not use) and it seemed very well equipped.
Great food just across the parking area at The Castle View
No air-con in the room, and considering it was warm when we stayed, it was a tad uncomfortable. The windows had security cords allowing them only to be opened 4". There were 2 desk type fans in the room and we had to leave both on when we were in the room, and all night, to make the room comfortable.
Food in restaurant was over priced.
We, and others that were staying there, did not eat evening meal there. Preferring instead to visit the Castle View that was considerably cheaper, and where there was a better menu choice.
The time away. And the room was great 😃
Nothing
Clean and very comfortable room, beds were great and pillows too!
No air con and no fridge so was cooling drinks in cold water in sink. We were there on a hot day so room was boiling
Good breakfast and gym
Room was unbearabley hot, shower leaked and head was moldy. No aircon or extraction. Decor was depressing, well worn and stained. Whole second floor smelt like a chip pan.
