Be Prepared to Pay Extra for Parking
Pros:

Stayed here three nights and was very disappointed to find guests are charged extra for parking in the hotel’s own surface lot. We checked in at 3 PM and still had to pay the full daily parking rate every day of the stay. This is not a downtown hotel with limited parking space.

What makes it worse is there is another DoubleTree in North Charleston only about 10–15 minutes away that offers complimentary parking for guests. We like the hotel itself, but these added fees feel unnecessary and misleading. Future guests should factor the parking charges into the real cost of the stay.

Pros:

Wasnt happy about the breakfast. We are not Starbuck fans

Cons:

Dinner was fine except on the menu you should mention that the sweet potato fries were are loaded with cinnamon/ sugar.
yuk. better selection of top tier wine would be nice as well. Bonanza or Conundrum would be great. Yor cost would be 20.00 per bottle. Charge 12.00 per glass

Stay here!
Pros:

The hotel is close to the airport. If you’re looking for convenience to restaurants and other local activities this is a great option. SHARIA at the front desk was wonderful. Even when she was busy and had a line of customers she was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and each need was quick met. Great stay!

Great Hotel but Skip the Restaurant
Pros:

This hotel is a great choice in the North Charleston area. The room was large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and despite being right on the highway it was surprisingly quiet.

The only reason I’m giving the hotel 4 instead of 5 stars is the bar/restaurant. While the bartender was extremely friendly, he had to do double duty by tending a full bar and running food from a kitchen that was not close by. It’s clear he was overwhelmed, unfortunately this resulted in receiving one of the worst burgers I’d ever had. It had been clearly sitting under the heat lamp for some time, resulting in it being very dry, the bun on top very hot and dry and the bottom being very spongy due to the condensation of sitting out so long, despite it being a $15 burger I could only eat about three bites until I gave up and headed out to grab something more edible.

My advise, skip ordering any food from the bar.

Don’t stay here! It’s filthy!
Pros:

This hotel is outdated and filthy! From the rugs, to the walls, to the furniture! Everything is filthy! The front desk lady Nadia told me that this is standard when you go to hotels! I travel all around the world and that is definitely not the case! Stay away! There are far better hotels in Charleston! If my stay and parking wasn’t non-refundable, I would have left and went somewhere else! Worst customer service ever!
