Beautiful charming hotel in a historic setting
Pros:

The location, the style and the staff were all exemplary 😃
It’s the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in, exterior and interior. I love the cute little touches too, the yoga mat, the classic literature by the bed and the red analog phone by the bed.
I also liked the pride flags out the front! I love to see a business that supports love.
The only issue I had with the room was that my reading lamp didn’t work which would’ve been handy.
In the whole though, a fantastic stay.
I would definitely go back.

Cons:

My reading lamp didn’t work.

Very nice building, nice hotel but no means a luxury.
Pros:

It’s a very very nice, old building. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

Cons:

It’s not a luxury hotel. You’re crammed in tiny rooms, with as many other guests as the space has allowed. So. You’re waiting for the breakfast. You’re waiting to have your plates changed. There was a party at the hotel so loud some parts shook. Luckily it finished at midnight. If you want to enter a shower you have too move a floor towel. But if you want to exit a bathroom you have to move it again, because it’s so small. So you’re walking sideways. I know it was just a basic room, but five stars? Come on… There’s better options at the price.

Very convenient central location, comfortable and practical room, in a famous and magnificent hotel.
Pros:

The room was small, but very well designed and the bed comfortable. If we had wanted to spend time in the room it wouldn't have served terribly well, but we didn't - of course a larger room would have been more expensive still. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece, especially the downstairs area and the great staircase.

Cons:

We paid for the stay several months in advance. On leaving we asked if we would pay a 5% tip which we had heard nothing about before. It was difficult to see what service we had received which would merit that. The room was rather expensive for its size, though doubtless in line with central London prices.
