The Hotel is absolutely lovely

O hotel é excelente, o ponto é um dos melhores de Londres: muito fácil locomoção e o café da manhã também é muito bom. O staff do hotel é gentil e colaborativo.
Staff at the reception were nice
Deeply disappointing experience for what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel.
The bar area was basically all reserved for groups/families only — despite multiple free tables . I sat down to have a beer but was asked to stand up. What followed was frankly farcical, it took four members of staff to serve me a single lager. One walked me to the bar, one took the order, one charged me, and then staff spent 15 minutes arguing amongst themselves about who would actually pour the beer. To his credit, one of the bar staff eventually stepped in to complain on my behalf.
So, I was forced to eat in my room, a £23 burger and coke became £39 after tray tax, service charge and VAT — charges not made clear on the menu. When it arrived it was cold. Shocking value for money.
The single room itself was tiny and basic for £275 per night, and the bathroom door opened directly onto the bed leaving unpleasant smells lingering throughout the room. The bathroom also flooded every time I had a shower.
At a budget hotel this would be frustrating. At a property billing itself as 5 star it is completely unacceptable — the experience was closer to 1 star in every regard.
To be fair - I was unfortunate because there was a wedding on and staff clearly wanted to ensure those guests were well catered for rather than a solo traveller. On a different day in a different room it maybe could have been a better experience.
From history to luxury this hotel has it all once you walk in you are transferred into a palace with hugh pillers beautiful furniture and a wow of wow factors you are greeted at reception with a warm friendly smile big thank you to Heet for his excellent service and a big thank you to Ellie sweet warm friendly with a great personality can't wait to come back
Gute Lage, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Betten bequem. Die U-Bahn fährt direkt angrenzend, bis King’s Cross ist es nur eine Station.
Die Zimmer sind eher eng geschnitten und im Ausbaustandard nur mittelmäßig. Während das Hotel selbst mit seinen Fluren und Treppenhäusern pompös gestaltet ist, wirkt die Einrichtung der Zimmer durchschnittlich und wenig ansprechend. Den Preis rechtfertigen letztlich allein Ort und Lage.
Very professional and helpful staff
All elevatiors out of order during the 2 day stay. Only elevator working was the kitchen staff evelavtor, As my room was on the 5th floor they had to escort me through the kitchen each time I wanted to go to my room.
Stayed here as part of a travel group. This is a very nice hotel located in a nice part of London. The nearest tube station is literally around the corner and several nice pubs nearby.

Updated; After posting this review, I emailed the hotel to share my disappointment. I have to say, I was extremely impressed with how quickly and professionally they responded.
Roksana from the hotel team was fantastic — they looked into what happened, apologised for the misunderstanding, and went above and beyond to help arrange the champagne surprise for my friends’ engagement.
They arranged the Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial, organised a handwritten personalised note, and made sure everything was taken care of. Their communication was excellent, and they completely turned around what had initially been a disappointing experience.
Thank you, Roksana, for your kindness and for helping make celebration even more special. This is exactly the level of care and service that makes a real difference.

Some of our very good friends were staying here and got engaged, which was a wonderful surprise for all of us. I called to arrange for a bottle of champagne to be delivered to their room as a celebratory gesture, but was told the hotel requires 48 hours’ notice for something as simple as a bottle of champagne.
I found that really disappointing. For a hotel, especially one that caters to special occasions, I would have expected a bit more flexibility to help make such a memorable moment even more special.
