Letting everyone know? R
Front desk staff rude and dismissive; hung up on me on the phone. Want a luggage cart forget it the wedding peeps coming in can hoard them and the woman “managing the valet” refused to ask when they would be able to hand over a cart.. but promised they would call me when a cart was ready. Never happened so I consolidated my stuff so I could kind of get it downstairs and WOW four luggage carts were in the lobby! Thanks for calling!! Valet STOLE items out of my trunk they were the only ones who had access to the trunk. Filed police report. The place is once again going over a major renovation;bar has shrunk and there are no dining options on site . This used to be great but staff is deplorable and there isn’t much nearby. Avoid
We selected this hotel because of another recommendation. We were in Pittsburg for our stadium chase and this was stadium 21 for us.
When we checked in, I had made a mistake of selecting the wrong date.
Ms. Victoria who was working the front desk. She was able to fix my reservation and my mistake and get us a room. Also she gave us water which I appreciated after the long trip. She was very professional and made sure we had a good room.
You will see other reviews of construction going on but the staff does what they can to make sure the guest are ok. We had some noise from the 14th floor for a brief moment during the day time but it passed.
The way the staff was when we needed something, the dining area, the waiter’s, the front desk and I also have to mention the house keeper Raj Raj. She did an amazing job cleaning the room and provided us extra towels. The slight noise wasn’t bothering us thinking of the overall experience.
The hotel is at an amazing location. It’s next to the baseball stadium. There was a festival next door that was amazing and we got to see Joan Osbourne in concert. There is some stores and Starbucks down the street in walking distance. A pizza spot and other great places. There is also a nice church down the street as well. If you take an uber to explore you will find there is a lot of great tourist spots. The cable car that goes down the hill, only accepts cash. There was also vintage clothing stores and shops you can find in the city. There is also brewers down the bridge. I’m someone who takes my time to research a hotel and I hope my review helps you when researching.

Likely one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had in the last several years. As an Ambassador Elite with over 150 nights last year, I’m embarrassed to say I spent $500 for a night at this disaster. The hotel is under renovation, and the lobby alone is a huge danger zone. The elevators could take 10+ minutes. The lounge was scheduled to open at 5pm and we waited outside for over 20 minutes for the attendant to open the door. Once inside we we were greeted to a disgusting choice of offerings (pictures attached) and an attendant who was equally unpleasant. Breakfast in the lounge consisted of no coffee cups, no actual coffee and no attendant. The food offerings we picked over and not replenished. We went to the front desk and requested a voucher for the restaurant, which was only slightly better. We were told this hotel was transitioning to a new concept (Elderberry-possibly Autograph), which will be necessary to shake the stink off this property.
Avoid at all cost.
Great place to stay in Pittsburgh. Beautiful old building that has lots of updates in the rooms. Spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, and convenient outlets.
The bar was under construction.
Parking options were poor
Pretty good experience. Our room was 1223--very clean and comfortable. I think it is a junior suite. Looks over the river and ballpark. We only had one night, but I was tempted to stay another night.
The downside was that the hotel is undergoing renovation--our room was not affected but I don't know if other rooms were affected. What did affect me was that I had planned to eat in the hotel as my husband was at a business dinner. One of the hotel restaurants was under renovation and closed and the other restaurant was booked for a private party so there was no where for dinner at the hotel. I asked at the desk for options close to the hotel but they didn't seem too eager to help. We were eligible for the concierge on the 14th floor so I went there. The snacks were ok but I have been to Marriott properties that served much better snacks. Anyway the snacks were my dinner that evening. I also didn't know that we had to pay for a glass of wine in the concierge lounge--$7 so not too bad but not too long ago a glass of wine was complimentary.
Once renovations are completed I'm sure the hotel will be excellent.
Perfect location
Parking
Hotel is really nice and great location by the roberto clemente bridge. Room was awesome overlooking the bridge and pnc park for baseball.museums are close and plenty of restaurants. The lobby staff were my favorite people. Tanesha,Erica, and Richelle were so sweet and helpful. All 3 of them assisted us with questions about the restaurant and billing questions. More importantly they treated us and our dog Levi like family thats a good thing lol.I hope their supervisors see this review because they were great. I would definitely return to this hotel.
typical hotel breakfast, restaurant was understaffed but food was good and served hot.
