we only used it to sleep, so no complaints.
Pros:

the rooms were great just like everything inside them, up to date inside room

Cons:

the hotel itself was old but I think that is what it is suppose to be all about and old fashioned, it lacked the atmosphere we like.

Loved our stay here.
Pros:

We chose this hotel because it’s opposite the botanical gardens and it’s quiet.
The room was exactly like the photos with a view of the gardens, we chose a twin room to give us more space and a view. The coffee pod machine was a bonus.
The staff at reception were very friendly and professional. The lifts worked perfectly and the room aircon was very easy to use, off and on, perfect for us, no complicated instructions.
We were able to watch streaming services a great way to end a busy day of walking.
We loved the retro facade and charm of the hotel.
Walking in the garden was a great way to start our day, it was so peaceful.
It’s a five minute walk to the main shopping mall with many restaurant options near by.
Our first lunch at Supernormal on the river was outstanding.
Lunch at Toscana just down the road was a great find for a late lunch after a morning spent on the River.
It’s close to several stops on the City Cat ferry which at 50 cents for a trip up and down the Brisbane River was such a bargain.
The breakfast was more than adequate and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve had in ages. Would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

Wardrobe doors need an update.

Location was great to our conference.

Step back in time. Elegance and comfort.
Pros:

Old fashioned service. From booking in to the Breakfast the next morning. Beautiful rooms with charm. Like stepping into yesteryear. Especially liked the bathroom products. No need to pack any. All the essentials are there and smelled divine. Loved the little office set up. Wanted to sit and catch up on the emails.

Cons:

Didn't have time to use the spa. Plus weather was a bit too windy to make it comfortable. Next time.

Comfortable room, good location
Pros:

Room was a good size, bed was comfortable. We liked that the hotel was not huge which made the stay feel more personable. Good location. Ten to 15 minute walk to city cat ferries, to shopping malls and Quens wharf.

Cons:

Taps in room were hard to turn off, we informed reception at the end of our stay (1 night).
