Good hotel but needs updating
Pros:

The hotel is in a fantastic location and a short walk away from the harbour, beach and shops.
The rooms were clean.

Cons:

The room could really benefit from air conditioning. We had a family room for 4 people which had the sun for most of the day. At night time it was extremely stuffy and we only had 2 fans.
The hotel is a bit dated and could benefit from modernising

Pros:

WE HAVE STAYED AT THE ATLANTIC HOTEL ON MANY OCCASIONS, THE HOTEL HAS BEEN UPGRADED UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND IT'S UP TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD FOR A 3 STAR HOTEL, WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.

Cons:

THE STAFF WERE FIRST CLASS, ALEX THE RECEPTIONIST WAS FANTASTIC AND VERY HELPFUL, SHE COULDN'T DO ENOUGH TO MAKE OUR STAY STRESS FREE, GERALD ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER WHO WAS IN CHARGE AT BREAKFAST WAS VERY POLITE AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

Pros:

The alantic rang to say they were closed to refurbishments to their restaurant. And said we have been booked instead with their sister hotel next door. I was apprehensive about staying. But it was a beautiful hotel and room

Cons:

Having to lift the pram up 3 steps to my room.. and breakfast wasn't nice. Eggs undercooked and the avocado was horrible. Both me and ny daughter left hungry. And had to go get food elsewhere

A potentially lovely hotel with great staff. We were unlucky that the refit had over run its completion date.
Pros:

In a marvellous position with a splendid sea view from our windows.

Cons:

The bar and restaurant were being refurbished, so closed. The staff did their very best and were lovely and head office were very helpful.
I expect it’s finished and wonderful now, as we could have been dining with a sea view.

Adequate for a short stay, great location
Pros:

This hotel was fine for one night, great location and breakfast was nice - they catered for my son's gluten and dairy intolerance.

Cons:

I know air conditioning is not standard in N-Ireland but it was an uncomfortable sleep on a very hot night, even with a fan provided.
