We had a great time, still a nice place with polite, professional staff.
Pros:

The location was excellent. The hotel is great it must have been fantastic in it's day. But, perhaps a bit dated now, we have stayed before and no doubt will stay again but there are small things that perhaps could do with touching up to make it a more perfect experience.

Cons:

Perhaps a bit dated, a touch of paint and some minor DIY would make all the difference.

A reasonably priced and convenient place to stay with excellent staff.
Pros:

The hotel is directly across from the railway station so it is very convenient. The room was spacious. The staff was extremely helpful with my bag storage.

Cons:

A bad heat wave was covering England and the A/C was not very strong. The extra fan helped a lot. There was some construction outside from 6-9 PM weekdays which was disturbing.

Good location.
Pros:

Just an overnight stay to watch a show in Birmingham. Location was great, short walk from station and to theatre. Would stay here again.

Elegant hotel in central location.
Pros:

Excellent central location, charming hotel, large room, good facilities, quiet. Good breakfast.

Cons:

The room was very hot. No air con though a fan was provided. No view from window.

Pros:

Excellent location, beautiful interior, staff really friendly and helpful

Cons:

The air con was quite noisy and the windows didn’t open so the room got stuffy (visited during the heat wave) and the restaurant needed noisy fans to deal with the heat wave - it still remained quite humid.

Comfortable stay and right by station
Pros:

Have stayed in standard room before and it’s felt a lot more modern. This time the room was tired and small, it needed a paint on the frames and woodwork. Strange cross cross grill on bathroom door . No view - just limited window opening onto air con vents / flat roofs.
Air con worked a treat - cut out noise too- but couldn’t change the temperature. . Only one set of towels provided for two of us. Bed very comfy . Staff pleasant .

Cons:

Room was tired.
