From August 24, 2026, the reception at Pilot Airport Hotel will operate on a self-service basis.
What does this mean in practice?
Book your stay online in advance. You can pay during the booking process or on your mobile device when checking in. Check in in advance via the link sent to your email or at the hotel’s self-service kiosk upon arrival.
Arrive at a time that suits you from 2:00 PM onwards and easily collect your room key from the self-service kiosk.
There are 2 car parks, one next to the hotel and one 1 km away, which has a transfer service to the hotel.
Please note the following: Parking costs EUR 9 per night. Long term parking is also possible at an extra cost of EUR 45 per week. Please note that the parking is not guarded. The free airport transfer service to and from Helsinki Airport is offered during limited times. From HEL airport the shuttle operates DAILY between 15:15-01:15 (pick up from platform #42). Between mentioned operating hours, the shuttle bus departs each hour automatically at :15 and :45 (15:15, 15:45, 16:15 etc. until 01:15.). The shuttle from hotel to HEL airport is available daily between 03:30 am -9:00 am and will be booked by calling. Also, during MON-FRI (excluding public holidays) the shuttle service from hotel to HEL airport is arranged upon request between 9:30-14:30 as well as for arriving guests from HEL airport to hotel. Guest arriving between 9:30-14:30 will need to call the hotel (+358 9 3294 800) in order to arrange the shuttle after claiming the luggage.
Please note that the free transfer is only available for individual guests and not for groups of 8 persons or more.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Ein gutes bis sehr gutes Hotel, nah am Flughafen und mit Shuttle zum Airport.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist das ausgezeichnete Frühstück und fas gute Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
Das Zimmer war nicht an alle Stellen sauber (Schrank), sonst alles gut.
Frühstück war sehr lecker und viele Optionen
Das Zimmer/Bad war nicht so schön
Aamupala oli erittäin hyvä ja löytyi paljon vaihtoehtoja

Vlasy od předchozího hosta v koupelně.

Prach v celém pokoji (na lampičkách u postele i na stropním světle).
Huone oli siisti.
Epäselvät ohjeet; huone jäi melkein saamatta ja kaksi lasta yöksi ilman majapaikkaa, henkilökunta ei neuvonut eikä ottanut vastuuta asioista, meidät yritettiin ajaa etuajassa pois huoneesta.

Free regular shuttle makes it great for the airport and the breakfast is superb. Internet based check in can be a hassle but overall this is a good choice without having to travel into downtown after your flight in
