Important information:

From August 24, 2026, the reception at Pilot Airport Hotel will operate on a self-service basis.

What does this mean in practice?

Book your stay online in advance. You can pay during the booking process or on your mobile device when checking in. Check in in advance via the link sent to your email or at the hotel’s self-service kiosk upon arrival.

Arrive at a time that suits you from 2:00 PM onwards and easily collect your room key from the self-service kiosk.

There are 2 car parks, one next to the hotel and one 1 km away, which has a transfer service to the hotel.

Please note the following: Parking costs EUR 9 per night. Long term parking is also possible at an extra cost of EUR 45 per week. Please note that the parking is not guarded. The free airport transfer service to and from Helsinki Airport is offered during limited times. From HEL airport the shuttle operates DAILY between 15:15-01:15 (pick up from platform #42). Between mentioned operating hours, the shuttle bus departs each hour automatically at :15 and :45 (15:15, 15:45, 16:15 etc. until 01:15.). The shuttle from hotel to HEL airport is available daily between 03:30 am -9:00 am and will be booked by calling. Also, during MON-FRI (excluding public holidays) the shuttle service from hotel to HEL airport is arranged upon request between 9:30-14:30 as well as for arriving guests from HEL airport to hotel. Guest arriving between 9:30-14:30 will need to call the hotel (+358 9 3294 800) in order to arrange the shuttle after claiming the luggage.

Please note that the free transfer is only available for individual guests and not for groups of 8 persons or more.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Low-stress solution for morning flights from Helsinki airport
Pros:

Very practical accommodation with excellent value for money.
The room was quiet and comfortable.
Shuttle service was perfectly on time.

Cons:

There was no visible thermostat in the room making it a bit too warm for my taste.

Kummallinen sisäänkirjautuminen, sisälle pääsy yöllä puhelimen varassa(ovikello ei toiminut). Epäselvät ohjeet uusista self check in käytännöistä. Huoneessa ei ollut pimennysverhoja, saavuimme 3 aikaan yöllä lennolta ja tarkoituksena oli nukkua pitempään mutta se oli mahdotonta valoisuuden takia aamulla. Kylpyhuoneessa/vessassa ei juurikaan yksityisyyttä liukuoven takia. Varhaisaamupalan hedelmät eivät olleet tuoreita ja niissä oli banaanikärpäsiä.

La zona es muy agradable pero es un hotel por si quieres estar cerca de aeropuerto. A 15mts andando hay un centro comercial muy grande y a 10mts la parada del bus para ir a la ciudad de Helsinki . El hotel está limpio y el personal muy agradable. El hotel tiene un servicio de bus para ir al aeropuerto que no tarda ni 10 mts en llegar

Si no tienes coche es muy difícil moverte para ir a ver los lagos tan maravillosos

Dieses Hotel würden wir nicht wieder buchen.

Die Nähe zum Flughafen bei Durchreise ist praktisch,Busanbindung Richtung Zentrum in der Nähe. 24/7 Check Inn

Das Bett ist nicht bequem,das Zimmer bietet nicht einmal Platz,um zwei Koffer gleichzeitig zu öffnen!! Im Badezimmer war der Toilettendeckel schon eine Unfallquelle,da nicht richtig befestigt,die Lüftung im Bad hat nicht funktioniert und beim Duschen setzt man das kleine Bad komplett unter Wasser,weil es der Abfluss nicht schafft!!
Im Zimmer wird man dafür durch eine Lüftungsklappe ständig mit kalter Luft,wie bei einer kalteingestellten Klimaanlage ,getroffen. Auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption,wie man diesen Zustand ändern könnte,gab es zur Antwort,das ist nicht abstellbar,wenn es zu kalt wäre,sollte man doch die Heizung aufdrehen auf Stufe 3,damit es wärmer wird!! Dabei hat die nette Frau leider nicht bedacht,die Heizung ist in den Sommermonaten komplett ausgestellt!!! Also wer sich keine Erkältung einfangen möchte,diese Unterkunft meiden!!!

Pros:

Bed was nice, plenty of shelf space, good curtains, clean, tv and wifi good, breakfast good.

Parking is nice, but really expensive (9euros per night)

Cons:

Bathroom door is not good. Can hear everything going on with the sliding doors.

It is unfortunate to hear this is going selfservice without front of the house staff
