Location is very good.
Valet parking is expensive but Sacramento is an old city and has not caught up with car travel.
Great hotel! Recently rennovated - I see previous comments about noisy construction, which seems to be complete. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, the hotel restaurant/ coffee shop/ bar is great and serves food until 1am. Location is central. Check out the midtown farmer's market on Saturdays, only about a 10 minute walk.
Yes. Bed was comfortable and staff was excellent from front desk through Cleaning. Valet outside could perhaps know a little more about the area would help needed.
Room service was terrible from the paper bags to Styrofoam dishes the plastic utensils. Try cutting an expensive steak with plastic. Amenities that used to be available such as robes are no longer around. You need to train your valets better to assist incoming passengers to knowing what’s available around the area for questioning guests.
It was nice
Only 1 elevator was working . We had to wait 20 mins
This was my second time staying at the Sheraton Grand and would certainly come back again. The associate who checked me in was very polite and thanked me for being a Bonvoy platinum elite member. I was upgraded to a very spacious suite with beautiful city views on the 13th floor. The club lounge always had wonderful offerings and was nice to be able to unwind there. The valet attendants were also spot on every time I needed my car. I'll be back again when I'm visiting Sacramento.
Clean friendly no problems
Parking was
The bed we’re comfortable and staff kind
The bathroom was filthy we had to clean the bathroom. It had hair in the sink and floor
Understaffed. 10 + minute wait for elevators. Loud dance music outside makes it impossible to sleep.
Gougey coffee shop -$14 for 2 plain coffees. No bellman.
Minimal room amenities at premium prices…surely better choices.
I would never stay here again unless we had an event here.
Just say no.
location
nothing
From the moment I checked in - early - to the time I reluctantly checked out, I absolutely loved my stay. Michael J. was kind and patient as I searched for my credit card for incidentals. He made sure I got my free WiFi as a Bonvoy member and gave me a room so I could drop off my little carry-on and rush to the conference.
As I walked to my room, I noticed a water dispenser to encourage us to be mindful. If you don’t have a water container, never fear! They’ve got a glass bottle for you to use in the room.
And now the room: Sheraton, I want to tell you that you did a wonderful job with your renovation. As a human living in 2026, I greatly appreciated the plugs - featuring lightning plugs!!! - and all of the lighting and seating. The bathroom was excellently done, with the mirror lighting turning on with movement - no fumbling in the dark! I also really liked the sitting area along the window; I showed my teen the space and she declared that would be her favorite spot. The bedding was soft and the pillows were long enough to be used as body pillows.
As I checked out, Michael kindly confirmed WiFi was free - a good reason to join Bonvoy! - and advised me of good times to return with my family. Also, I want to give a shout-out to bellboy Steven. He was very sweet and asked me polite questions, making me feel like a valued guest.
I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience staying at the Sheraton. On the very first night of my stay, I woke up startled in the middle of the night after being bitten by what appeared to be a spider. The bite later developed into necrosis, and I am still left with a scar on my leg from the incident.
There was construction going on at the hotel during my stay, so I can only assume that may have contributed to the issue somehow. I honestly do not know how a spider could have ended up in the bed considering how tightly the sheets were tucked. I initially considered whether it could have come from clothing, but I sleep in minimal clothing, so that seems unlikely as well.
What made the situation even more frustrating was how poorly the hotel handled it afterward. Their insurance company contacted me several weeks later saying they wanted to “open an investigation” and inspect the room — weeks after the incident had already happened. By then, what exactly were they expecting to find? After all of this, they offered me only 500 Marriott points, which felt insulting considering the pain, medical concerns, and permanent scar I still have.
On top of that, I accidentally left behind a large mirror in the room. I called multiple times and left messages for management with no return calls. I kept being directed to a manager named Emily, only to later find out the manager’s name was actually Kevin. Trying to get in touch with lost and found was a complete mission. When I finally did, they claimed they never found the mirror. I honestly do not understand how a large mirror simply disappears. Something about the situation felt very dishonest and unprofessional.
Also, if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, carefully review your bill. I was incorrectly charged for Wi-Fi and had to call to have the charge removed.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, not only because of the incident itself, but because of how poorly everything was handled afterward.
