Honest review

Hotel is very central to get to a lot of places walking or using transport. Hotel is clean and tidy, we stayed in a superior triple room, room was cleaned Daily with fresh towels and new bottle of water every day, also had mini fridge and kettle in room.
Drinks there was a good selection and bar staff friendly. They also do crisps and nuts if you ask. Food was a bit hit and miss the restaurant is also very busy. We did eat at La Gioconda the other restaurant at the hotel and would definitely recommend you book a table there it was lovely food and less chaotic. We also did eat out a few times as plenty of restaurants close by.
The pool area was also busy we did have to get sunbeds by 7.30 to be able to get them together. Having said that the days we went to the beach in the morning we came back and could get a couple of sunbeds for the remainder of the afternoon.
This hotel id definitely say is more of a 3*. There are improvements needed however did it effect our stay? NO. We were there with other family members and we all had a good time and made nice memories together and that’s what it was about. I do think some people writing reviews are very picky.
Ignore the bad reviews. Your holiday is what you make it!

We had a nice ' superior' pool view room.....though to be honest the 'superior' bit just means it's been refurbished recently and has a walk in shower too.
Everything was great from the food to the staff , the hotel is one of the cheaper ones in Torremolinos most likely because it's up in town, if it had been a beach-front hotel it would be way more expensive.
I've a couple of little suggestions though........as we were only on the 2nd floor sometimes we'd just walk up , there's quite a lot of dirty marks on the stair-well walls , probably kids with food or ketchup on their hands......it looks terrible especially when it's there day after day of our holiday and the cleaners havn't cleaned it nor the maintanance guy painted over the dirty marks with white paint.
Cleaners......our bed was only changed once in 8 days? .......It seemed far more frequent 6 months ago when we were at the hotel.
Restaurant.......Peking Duck..........now i've ate Duck a lot and although this was lovely it tasted suspiciously like Chicken..........there was no 'duck' taste about it..........if it is indeed Chicken just mark it as 'Peking Chicken'.......i always meant to say to Carl about that but i forgot haha.
Another small thing......up at the rooftop solarium once you open the door with your card it's quite a high step.......a lot higher than a normal step, so maybe sitting something there so folk can step onto it then up to solarium level would help.
Overall these are small 'observations', no real complants and for the price the hotel is excellent and in a good location , and we will most likely be back in Sept or October.

Foul stench in room; stagnant water either drains or AC. Complained and offered another room just as stinking on the same drain line a floor below. Rooms are old, run down with rusty balconies that indicate a lack of maintenance. Flies buzz around the buffet food. Staff are lovely and do their best, but Management are just laughing all the way to the bank. I would not recommend wasting money on a waste treatment plant.

Arrived with elderly mum who I upgraded with easyJet to a standard twin instead of the single room option, balcony looked into a brick wall , room dirty and old , bathroom bath unfit to use . Reception well omg didn’t care , the man on reception today such a bad attitude , been coming years twice a year never again ,

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. It’s clean, comfortable, and the food and drink were very nice. It’s not a 5-star property, but that’s clear before you book and it offers great value for what you pay.
The staff were a real highlight – so welcoming and friendly, which made a big difference to our stay. The location is excellent too, very convenient for getting around and exploring the area.
Like many hotels, there can be a bit of sunbed hogging at times, but that’s not unique to here.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay again!

I have experienced sandos hotels before, this one was very disappointing.
Pool area was very grotty & univiting, umbrellas didn't fit in the bases, we were having to stuff tissue in so the umbrella would not tipple over! beds were very close to each other, as were the tables & chairs outside.
Food wasn't very inviting either, not much choice, way too many people in restaurant which made getting any food harder.
Air con in room was useless
Lifts were a nightmare
positive was the coffee bar was nice!
free shuttle to beach but even the beach bar food wasn't great!
Torremolinos was lovely & the hotel sits in a good location.

Spent 3 nights with friends in a superior pool view. Room was fine & view of the pool. Was a bit of the small side for 3 adults. We were All Inclusive. Good selection of drinks and food. Really good location for the main areas. We had a good girls trip

what a great hotel. rooms where big and cleaned everyday with fresh bedding. the pool area is massive and pool very good. lots of beds but need to be early. food was good and always something to eat.
the coffee shop at front of the hotel was a great addition and included in all inclusive, fantastic to get out of the sun and chill.
beach area with all inclusive was outstanding. cheap beds and a discount on second day, free v=bus to and from and food down there was a welcome as well as a toilet.
overall a brilliant week away and if we return to area we will be booking this hotel again.

We are just back from a 4 night stay.. i was impressed our room was modern very clean..All around the hotel was very clean staff were lovely..Food was ok...but there was always something to eat..great location..thank you
Its just what i needed a wee break after the loss of my mum...we will book again..
My only gripe wad the sunbeds so close together and by 9 am they were all gone

great hotel! i love the service and animation and the pool and the beer!

Myself & friend just spent 4 nights here. Would return again. Be better to turn the area with lots of tables & chairs into sunbed area as it was hard to get sunbed some days. People leaving towels on & not using also. Food was not bad. Always something there with variety.

Came home yesterday from a 4 night stay at the Sandos Griego hotel with my sister.Imust say after reading some reviews we were a little apprehensive. We had the best time and found the staff ,food and entertainment great.The choice of food and drinks great ,wonderful coffees and nothing was too much trouble for all staff.A special mention to Miguel for his 100% polite manner and service.would not hesitate return. Perfect location for everything.

No problems with this hotel. Located in town centre, close to public transport. Free shuttle bus to/ from beach. (Beach 20 minutes walk away). Beach Club provides nice snacks & drinks ... nice touch. Food here is fantastic. Free WiFi. Family friendly. All Inclusive is great value.

Well what can I say…sadly I won’t be rushing back here anytime soon. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Wow as a travel blogger I must say my expectations were not met for this hotel.

As a solo traveler who had own room and family accompanied had paid for updated room were put in basic room. Had to go down explain wasn’t room that had been paid for, quickly resolved by moving them along to newly renovated room which they had paid for - although no coffee machine and broken toilet latch (which got fixed on 3rd day). Noisy corridor next to staff door which grated on the concrete floor every time used. Unfortunately at time of booking was no option for me to upgrade I had standard room as a solo traveler. Not so much an issue as would be spending it just sleeping until I saw the room! For somewhere stipulating 4* then I am genuinely worried for what a 5* would look like!? Dirty marks in bath tub - shabby old shower curtain which I haven’t used in over 25yrs (very old fashioned and unhygienic). Curtains half hanging off and dirty marks all over curtains. Balcony door didn’t open so couldn’t dry my clothes. First night had to get security to chap door as neighbour (Spanish elderly couple) blaring TV from 11pm till back of 1am. I would say on average went to my room around 10.30-11pm and not able to get to sleep till after 2am due to music from pepe’s people coming and going from rooms and to top it off could hear people defecating in toilet and then going for shower at 12am 🫣 4 nights of absolute HELL.

Food/restaurant - well what can I say can only be described as an absolute frenzy of ignoramuses who stop right in front of you carrying hot drinks and food, food bland and basic and also burnt. Most cases the pizza section no information at all which is critical for allergies, as an ex HSE worker clearly breaching guidelines here! As someone who travelled with a vegetarian who had a tuna pizza was not a pleasant experience!

Staff rude and not helpful and as for cleaners yes they do their job but moving between corridors at 8am could be little more discreet instead sounded like most mornings were swinging mops above their heads hitting off everything in sight not care in the world to customers who may still be sleeping.

Let me wrap this up and I know with last few reviews people have put on this in regard to this hotel, I second the statements and in fact believe hotel could implement a much more positive experience by listening to customers feedback.

For someone who travels multiple times a year day trips abroad and various locations I must say this tops the DO NOT RETURN - sadly will stick to benalmádena nicer and more welcoming to tourists

Booked for a 4 night break.
The welcome at reception was a bit cold, I didn’t find the staff friendly, they weren’t particularly rude, just a bit cold.
The room was fairly okay, comfortable, modern-ish and did what it needed to do. The location of the hotel is great, just a short walk to the centre, less than 5 mins.
The food was fairly okay, not loads to chose from but fresh and the dining room was clean, we stayed all inclusive but only ate there a few times. The drinks were good when you actually got served and the wait for a drink was longer than I have experienced in other places. Entertainment was plenty and looked lively. I found the hotel overall okay, you had to wait an age for a lift so a pain if you’re on a higher floor , a little dirty in some places but nothing extreme. I wouldn’t stay again but if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful then this is the place.
