Near perfect… would stay again!
Pros:

From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant! We had a wonderful superior room and the location was sensational!

Cons:

The only thing was probably that all the smokers sit at the front door as you enter and exit.

Goed stadshotel in een mooie wijk van de stad, de ligging is echt een troef.
Pros:

De ligging van het hotel is zeer goed, midden in het aangename centrum rond Bellecour. De valet parking is ook in orde, we moesten gewoon onze koffers uitladen en onze auto werd in de stadsparking geparkeerd (wel tegen betaling uiteraard). Personeel is heel vriendelijk.

Cons:

De ontbijtruimte is klein en wat ingesloten in het hotel (geen daglicht). De lift (een oude lift in de stijl van het gebouw) was meermaals stuk en dan moesten we 4 verdiepingen omhoog klimmen. Elke dag waren er wel een paar periodes dat de lift niet werkte, niet zo fijn.

Can't rely on attentiveness of staff; mediocre cleanliness.
Pros:

The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was roomy, especially relative to the size of the room.

Cons:

The air was musty in the lobby and in the room. There were spots in the room that were not clean...surfaces that weren't wiped down; some mildew in the shower. The elevator was broken when I arrived and I had to walk around the corner to go up a tiny service elevator. Because I was several floors up and had a recent knee injury, this meant I was pretty much stuck in my room after arrival. They gave me no estimate of when it would be fixed and did not inform me when it had been. Breakfast was mediocre -- the selection was OK, the eggs were good, but a lot of the produce was old. I asked them to get me a reliable taxi and the guy ripped me off for three times the fare when I left. This is not directly their fault but a good hotel typically will deliver you into the right hands.

Amazing old classic hotel with tons of personality
Pros:

Amazing staff, terrific old hotel. Tons of personality, just an overall favorite hotel we have stayed at.

Cons:

Elevator was broken for a day. But it’s old and cool so that comes with the territory.

A beautiful experienced ruined by an unsleepable bed.

Staff was very nice, room was very nice, location was very nice.

Cons:

The pillow top mattress was upside down so when we went to bed we were on the hard side of the mattress. I figured it out and flipped the mattress myself. There were blood stains on the mattress, explaining why it was flipped, probably by a previous customer. But staff should’ve realized the mattress was upside down. When told, the front desk clerk apologized briefly but that’s all. Room should’ve been comped.
Room coffee was gross instant coffee. No coffee in the lobby. Tough for early departure.

During two breakfasts, a beautiful lady come to talk to me for coffee. she is very kind because in china that's difficult to meet a lady like that. merci. Location is perfect and reception staffs were very very kind.

A lovely experience
Pros:

Our room was fantastic and well appointed. The linens were high quality. We didn’t have much of a view but we did utilize the balcony to have a pre-dinner drink. The hotel itself is nicely decorated.

Cons:

The bed was a bit too hard for me.
