We got to reception at 11pm (after informing them beforehand that we would be checking in between 11pm-12am) and did have to wait around 5-10 minutes before the receptionist showed up. You also have to pay €4 a day to use the safe in the room.

We requested upon booking, 4 weeks prior, if we could get a dinner/small food package as we would be checking in after the kitchen closed. They replied saying they would be happy to offer a cold dinner package, including ham, salad, and fruit, and asked us to call the hotel on the check-in day to remind them, although they also said they would put a note on the system. I called them 3 times on the check-in day and was placed in a queue each time, only for the call to be cut off after around 2 minutes. When we arrived at the hotel, they said they couldn’t offer us any dinner or food because the kitchen was closed, even after we showed proof of the previous messages. This was disappointing considering we had paid for dinner, so we had to go out looking for food at midnight.

The wifi from the 9th floor was awful. Only 10mbps download speed, so nothing loaded and we had to resort to using mobile data the entire 3 days.

We went out for the day and came back for dinner, only to find we had apparently missed it again. On our key card, it was written that dinner is served until 22:00, although the “2” looked like a “1”, so we initially read it as 11pm. We therefore assumed it said 22:00, but when we got to the canteen at 21:00, they told us they were closed. We showed them the key card, and they said dinner actually finished at 21:00. Happy to accept that we had arrived after dinner service, but what made it more frustrating was that we had previously been told at check-in that the kitchen closed at 10pm, which is why we believed the card said 22:00.

The pool water didn’t look the cleanest. No pool toys were provided. The water was cold as well; surprisingly colder than the sea at Malaga beach.

Unfortunately, the room was quite dirty when we arrived. It honestly felt like nobody had prepared it before our check-in. From my experience, hotels near the beach should clean the floors daily because guests constantly bring in sand, but here it seemed that housekeeping only happened if you asked — and even then, sometimes you had to ask twice.

The hotel description says the rooms are soundproof, but that is definitely not true. I could literally see light coming through the gap in the door and hear noise from outside very clearly.

The food was very basic. I booked half board but only used it maybe twice. The food was edible, but there was very little effort put into it. For example, during breakfast you have coffee, juice, and water included, but at dinner only water is available. A lot of the food felt like pre-made convenience products.

Also, the rooms are much smaller than they look in the photos, and the elevators are extremely slow.

Overall, I would not consider this a real 4-star hotel — it feels more like a WEAK 3-star hotel. In my opinion, the hotel seems to have some kind of budget PROBLEM..
