Location breakfast
Apart from breakfast food wasn’t so good
People shouting and laughing till 3am outside not good when your up at 6 in a morning
The grounds, the views, the comfortable beds, variety at breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
Nice decor although a bit dated. Nice pool. Good that there was a quiet hour for adults 8pm-9pmin the pool which really suited us. A good breakfast.
Kittiocks Den is not the place to go if you actually want an evening meal, or adequate timely service, and it wasn’t at all busy. There was a definite break down in communication between the serving staff and the kitchen. When I highlighted the specifics the management discounted the meal accordingly. Really requires attention from the hotel to resolve this, as it’s way, way below what you’d expect from any Restaurant, not only a 5 star one. A shame.
Good location
The noise from the front entrance from vehicles collecting clients both early morning and late evening
The hotel is comfortable and breakfast is good
The excess outside noise from the front entrance affects the hotel room with noise from vehicles, buses and clients both late night and early morning . The food service in the bar area is too slow.
Gorgeous setting, spectacular views !
Nothing really… I was all just lovely
We enjoyed the pool and sauna room
We ate at La Cucina and didn't get the best service but nothing too bad.
The overall feel of the hotel was nice. Very clean and comfortable
The food in one of the restaurants wasn’t value for money and we had to wait over an hour for it to arrive.
Our drinks on this same occasion took 25 mins to arrive, my own drink 45 mins only because we asked a member of staff.
Earlier that evening I had went to the bar for a drink and was told to take a seat and a member of the team would be over to take my order. Again, I waited 45 mins on the drink after having to prompt the staff.
The room was fine
Had a terrible experience in the rest on my wife’s birthday the first night raw food to start then our mains were cold no gesture of good will after reporting to restaurant manager and duty manager very very poor
Fabulous hotel - always perfect
Nothing
Setting was nice think the weather helped as views from club house looking over the water made it tranquil the golf courses there self where enjoyable and food was not bad. staff where helpful at hotel
The trek to bus stop if going into town unless you used the small 7 seater which you had to book in advance for a return journey a small golf cart to bus stop would help?
I also didn’t realise it was that far out from St Andrews !
The queues for breakfast
I liked how lovely the property looked.
I had a member of staff come into my room once I checked in which made me uncomfortable, my pet package was forgotten. My pronouns were incorrect, so when I walked in it say ‘Mr’ not mrs. It is dog friendly but the whole hotel isn’t dog friendly & staff were confused as to where you were allowed and not. I booked this for a surprise and was extremely let down.
