Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, lovely building, great food and clean rooms.
The rooms are nice and comfortable but could do with a refresh - they are rather old and outdated. This hotel has so much potential but needs a few upgrades.

The location was excellent , breakfast was good each morning., staff were very friendly.
All was good, the only problem we had , was the shower was poor, in that it was hard to get it to warm up.
Very central location. Wonderful staff from the start of our stay to checkout. Andrea, who manages the restaurants, was wonderful and went above and beyond giving us all of the proud history around the hotel. Heidi who looked after us for dinner was a lovely young lady.

Rooms very small. No air conditioning, bathroom had very little shelf space. No fridge or safe in room. Very basic hotel
Location, very clean, good food and wonderful staff
No air conditioning in hotel during a heatwave. Room was very uncomfortable because of the extreme heat, fan provided was ineffective.

We discovered a bedbug on our bed. We experienced managements response as being superficially concerned, saying the right things, but actually somewhat dismissive and incredulous, bordering upon denial, despite presenting them with the live creature found on the bed. We moved to another nearby room and thankfully had no further creepy crawleys. To us, this was a big thing, where management's view portraited to us was that they did everything they should have, and that these things do happen occasionally despite best efforts - well management, never before to us in many, many travels, and never for us again in your hotel!

Breakfast was enjoyable
The location couldn’t have been better. It is right in the center of everything and it’s all very walkable. The furtherest I had to walk to anything was the bus station, which was 12 minutes away. It was very clean and the staff at the front desk and the general manager were all super nice and accommodating. They even moved me to a different room after my first night that had less direct sun and was cooler. I was there during exceptionally hot weather for Ireland.
