Old and needs updating. Front desk staff are not helpful.
Pros:

Were given the very last room in the hotel. As in 370 rooms, we got 370. Very long walk for senior citizens with disabilities.

The room had a musty smell and a very old carpet. There were also black spots on the ceiling that kind of looked like mold.

Maine Stay perfect for Portland sights.
Pros:

Hotel Location was perfect for day tripping in Portland. Reasonable value for hotel- very clean and staffed with super friendly employees- Front desk Maria and Anna were very pleasant and helpful. Everyone said hello and greeted us warmly. Rooms were on the smaller side and could use updating. Two separate sinks were appreciated more than the low toilet 😔in the small bathroom. Bed was comfy.
Pool area was spacious with lots of seating and a fire pit table area. Breakfast room was amazing- there were varied delicious choices the two mornings we ate there. Breakfast room staff were great! Liked the coffee/tea machine in the lobby always available. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Merry Manor in Portland Maine.

It wasn’t very comfortable and was irritating to have to get new keys all the time.

The pool was great here

Cons:

Our keys constantly stopped working to get into the room. I had to get new keys made every day including the very first hour we were there because we were given the wrong room. Things in the room didn’t work well and everything thing constantly felt damp.

Pros:

Very good breakfast selection. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is in great condition overall, with the exception of the shower.

Cons:

The shower needs help. It just splatters water everywhere and gets the floor wet. While the breakfast is delicious, it is very space-challenged. It's kept in a room that needs a key and isn't large enough to accommodate the massive amount people piling into it.

Cons:

La chambre était trop humide. Le taux d’humidité devait être très élevé. On le sentait sur notre corps.

Meery Manor, I could go again!
Pros:

Perfect location, just a few minutes from the Old Port and the city downtown. Quite calm and nice, pet-friendly, respecful ambiance, and great service. The installation is old, from my point of view, it needs a refurbish, but in general it is clean and nice. The rooms are of a regular size, they are also clean and confortable. A very good breakfast (the usual ones in this type of hotels), excellent service and cleanliness.
