According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years old cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. If the minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it will be necessary to present a written authorization for the minor to check into the hotel. Such authorization must be notarized and signed by both parents.
All minors under 18 years old also need to present a valid ID with photo, to prove their identity and that of his/her parents. This must be presented even if a minor is accompanied by his/her parents.
A deposit may be required at the property.

The view from our room was very good & being able to open the windows was an added bonus. The location directly over the road from Copacabana beach was great. Room was a good size & beds comfortable (although they did move a little).
Jefferson, a morning wait person, was fantastic.
The front office staff were also helpful & friendly.
The shower would have to be one of the worst designs we have ever encountered in many years of worldwide travel. To turn the taps on to get the right temperature involves opening the door that doesn’t close properly, getting wet because the water comes out in a very uneven stream aimed at the foot, wets yourself & the floor & then when it’s the right temp, open the door & get in. It’s also quite a small area.
Breakfast did the job but requires more healthy options.
It took an exceptionally long time to get meals when dining of an evening. So much so, that by the time the ice cream was delivered it had completely melted. Which in itself is an issue for potential food poisoning.
Wifi in the room was frustratingly slow & inconsistent in being available.
Also charging a 10% “hotel service” charge on top of the accommodation reservation is not a compulsory charge & one can request to not pay this. We prefer to pay for service in cash to people we feel deserve the tip.
The 5% city tax ( not to be confused with the 5% VAT which is compulsory) is also not a compulsory charge & can be disputed. This charge is generally reserved for hotels in environmentally, ecologically sensitive areas, but is often added to hotels in high tourist areas. None of the other hotels we stayed in, in Brazil outside the Copacabana, Ipanema area charged this.
Wir hatten Zimmer zum Meer, der Ausblick ist top! Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes landestypisches Frühstück. Das Hotel hat ein gewisses Alter, ist aber dafür in Summe gut in Schuss.

O quarto era bastante espaçoso e a cama bem confortável apesar de um pequeno barulho que estava fazendo ao deitarmos.
Achei que o banheiro precisa de melhorias no chuveiro, pois aparentava está bem gasto e passava uma imagem de sujo.
Além disso, o café da manhã merece também melhorias. Poucas opções e um tanto bagunçado. em um momento faltam xícaras, copos para suco…

Superb location. Bang at the Copacabana beach. Ipanema beach at a walkable distance. The staff were great and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great as well. Room has a well stocked refrigerator and things inside it are reasonably priced as well
