Extremely dated and in great need of remodeling
Pros:

As a long time Bonvoy customer. I’ve stayed at a lot of Marriotts. This one is absolutely the worst. It is at least five years beyond renovation. Every time you get in the elevator, you pray that it doesn’t break down. Marriott should be ashamed that they have not renovated thos property a lot long time ago we.

The hotel staff was great, overall great amenities and a good view.
Pros:

The staff was extremely nice. I booked through a third party and they took the extra time to make sure I wasn’t charged twice. My room had very nice amenities for a solo traveler and the view was cool too. It was very close to my destination for the weekend.

Cons:

My room wasn’t entirely clean, there was a bottle cap from a previous person on the floor when I came in. The walls were a little thin and I could hear the person next to me snoring.

Formal Complaint – SpringHill Suites Plymouth Meeting, PA – Bonvoy Member Experience
Pros:

I am writing as a Marriott Bonvoy member since 2022 to formally document a disappointing stay at the SpringHill Suites in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. I booked this property specifically for its proximity to the lacrosse tournament at the Proving Grounds, and because I had stayed there once before without issue. This visit did not meet Marriott's standards.

Upon arrival, I was placed in Room 215, which was in an unacceptable condition. I went to the front desk and was moved to Room 229, which was only marginally better. Issues in Room 229 included:

- The toilet stopped working on our last night, leaving us without a functioning bathroom
- A dirty, poorly maintained shower and tub, including grime around the drain and a corroded showerhead
- Peeling wallpaper and visible damage near the shower and tub surround
- A drain fly in the room, which flew out while I was lying on the bed
- Outdated in-room televisions with no Netflix or modern streaming access

I have attached photos documenting the condition of the bathroom, including the shower, tub, and wall damage.

Given the cost of travel for a tournament weekend and my loyalty to the Bonvoy program, I was expecting a clean, functioning room. I would appreciate a response addressing these issues, along with appropriate compensation — whether in the form of a refund, Bonvoy points, or a comparable gesture.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Jessica

Disgusting and wouldn’t stay here ever again
Pros:

I stayed here for a lacrosse tournament, and I was very disappointed with the condition of the room. The bathroom looked poorly maintained, with peeling wallpaper, deteriorating caulking, visible staining in the corners, and what appeared to be mold or mildew around the tub and soap dish. The shower head had heavy mineral buildup and discoloration, and the tub itself had stains around the drain that made it feel unclean. I have never had to purchase shower shoes for a hotel bathroom.

While I understand that hotels experience wear and tear, basic cleanliness and maintenance should be a priority. The bathroom did not give the impression that it had been properly cared for before our stay. I hope management addresses these issues because they significantly affected our experience.

Don’t Stay Here!!!
Pros:

Nothing!

Cons:

Blood on the walls, pool was empty (and not disclosed), stained sheets left on the pull out bed, alcohol bottles left in the room from prior guests and missed by the cleaning staff, mold in the dresser drawers. This hotel was a nightmare and not represented accurately on the website.

Didn't stay
Pros:

The staff was friendly when we checked in.

Cons:

We noticed a dead bug in the elevator on the way up to our room after a concert. When we got to our room we then encountered a cockroach on the wall. I called the front desk and was told they could fumigate tomorrow, which didn't work for me. We ended up leaving the hotel at midnight and driving home 4 hours. When we left, we inspected the bug in the elevator and it was another cockroach, and then we we made it out to the parking lot there were a ton of cop cars and people being arrested. I'm trying to get refunded but haven't heard back. The front desk couldn't refund me that night, I'm now waiting to try to get a response from the hotel with a refund. I vet hotels pretty well before I stay anywhere, I guess I missed the signs for this one.

L'accueil détestable de la personne a l'accueil qui n'a pas cherché à régler le problème de réservation, mais nous a laissé nous débrouiller de notre côté.

Good stay, good location
Pros:

Staff is great and hotel is great. Room was a perfect size. And we needed a location near the Turnpike.

Cons:

If the hotel is full, and it often is, you may need to make alternate plans for breakfast. When they know that there is going to be a large group, staying, management should staff up. Otherwise there is no food available.
