Fantastic Stay at Crown Plaza
Pros:

Staff were so pleasant and very helpful from receptionists, accommodation, restaurants and leisure centre. The food was fantastic. The hotel was immaculate.

Good location, below average hotel.
Pros:

The pool was nice. Easy to get into and out of town by car.

Cons:

There were plates in the hallway upon our arrival, in the evening, that were still there after breakfast the next day.
The facilities overall were disappointing considering the staff at reception seemed so well trained. Back of house support is not meeting the expectations front of house staff are conveying. It feels like the detailed things only happen as a result of complaints , not as a part of regular work.

Good typical 4* chain hotel
Pros:

Typical 4* chain hotel but did have a gym and swimming pool as part of the complex. Staff was super welcoming. Perhaps the decor is now getting a little tired. No complaints at all about the experience here and nothing exceptional either. We did enjoy the breakfast very much. Usual buffet plus a 'cook to order' with a wide choice. The Eggs Benedict were great. There is a large car park but being a popular place can get filled up
