I was travelling with my 12 year old son and chose this hotel for a one night stay (from the many others in the area) as it has a pool.
I checked online that the pool was available and there was nothing to suggest that it wasn't. When we arrived we were told that the pool was closed.
I asked on check in and again a couple more times about the possibility of the pool reopening (we went to McDonalds after checking in so didn't use the room but hung around in reception), and the staff kept on telling us it was only a temporary closure... on perhaps the 3rd or 4th time of asking, a reception guy said it would unlikely be available for our stay, leaving my son very disappointed - and me frustrated that they hadn't just been more honest with us about the pool in the first place. I checked us out immediately on this information (and got an uber over to another hotel with a pool).
As I checked out it was obvious that the pool being closed was the only reason why we were leaving, but none of the staff present asked or checked with us or offered any sort of kindness or apology. It felt dismissive, as though they could not fathom the disappointment of a child that the pool was unavailable. Not a major deal to an adult/anyone else I guess, but disappointing for him.
I didn't even bother seeking a refund (I'd already paid online with Booking.com).

Great experience all round. Note: a limited menu evening meal is available in the lobby Verge restaurant. Buffet breakfast in the Greenhouse is great with lots of options. Will be back!

Took a bit long for checkin
The hotel is located close to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, offering a super convenient airport shuttle that runs back and forth every 15 minutes or so throughout the hour. The schedule is clearly posted at the pickup point, and the ride itself takes only about 6 minutes. The shuttle is a 10-seater minibus shared with the Moxy Hotel across the street, so if there happens to be a large crowd, you might have to wait for the next one. Fortunately, you can book your departure shuttle to the airport with the front desk during check-in, which makes things incredibly easy.
The front desk staff were very friendly and thorough with their explanations, and they even proactively asked if we needed to reserve a shuttle slot for the next day.
Our room was on the first floor, looking out onto the hotel parking lot. The layout was very spacious—we could easily open a 28-inch suitcase flat on the floor without obstructing the walking path. The room also featured a single-seater armchair, a capsule coffee machine, and a mini-fridge. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers and an automatic light that turns on when opened, though it did have a slight woody smell inside, likely from being closed most of the time.
The bed was neatly made, and both the mattress and pillows had just the right amount of firmness, making for a very comfortable night's sleep.
The bathroom was spotless. A unique feature was that the shower drain was located right in the center of the floor rather than against the wall under the faucet. I thought this was a brilliant design because, even though the glass partition only enclosed half the shower area, water hardly splashed or flooded outside. The hairdryer was wall-mounted.
The breakfast was absolutely fantastic—if your schedule allows, I highly recommend eating here! The restaurant is located in a spacious greenhouse lobby filled with lush plants. It was incredibly beautiful and easily the best breakfast setting of my entire trip. There was a wide variety of food options, including hot dishes, and everything tasted delicious. It completely exceeded my expectations!
