Whenever in Madrid we stay in Palacio SAN Martin ( this time was our thirteenth visit)
Pros:

Our choice whenever in Madrid. The location, the terace restaurant with sun screens, the service, Rooms, atmosphere of historic building well renovated, and the victorious elevator / lift. Breakfast is best in Spain (and we travelled thourgout the country). Looking forward for our next la liga travel in Madrid in Palacio SAN Martin. Remember to book your tickets to the Monasterio in advance!

La situación en el centro de Madrid y, a pesar de eso, la tranquilidad del hotel: silencio dentro del edificio y en la calle (nuestra habitación era interior, eso sí)

Bon séjour malgré les pannes.
