Un soggiorno di sei notti al Phoenix Hotel si rivela un'ottima scelta per esplorare Londra, grazie soprattutto alla posizione strategica e alla tranquillità del quartiere.
Situato in una via residenziale elegante e silenziosa (Kensington Gardens Square), al riparo dal traffico ma a pochi passi dalle arterie principali di Bayswater e Queensway.
A circa 5 minuti a piedi dalle stazioni della metropolitana di Bayswater (Central, Circle e District Line) e Queensway, permettendo di raggiungere il centro di Londra e attrazioni principali come Westminster o il West End in meno di 20 minuti. La vicinanza con la stazione di Paddington facilita inoltre il collegamento rapido con l'aeroporti di Heathrow e Stansted
Dintorni: Hyde Park e Kensington Gardens sono raggiungibili a piedi in meno di 10 minuti. Nelle immediate vicinanze si trovano numerosi pub, ristoranti e supermarket.

Cons:

Assenza di aria condizionata: Trattandosi di un edificio d'epoca vittoriano, l'hotel non dispone di aria condizionata centralizzata. In camera viene fornito un ventilatore, ma durante i giornate o le serate estive più calde la stanza può risultare un po' calda e afosa, soprattutto ai piani alti.

Hotell med bra läge men ej bekvämligheter med svalt hotellrum och tyvärr avsaknad av tillmötesgående personal.
Pros:

Läget är bra och att det är promenadavstånd till många sevärdheter samt bra möjlighet till kollektivtrafik. Helt ok frukost.

Cons:

Ingen luftkonditionering på rummet, väldigt varmt och dålig luft. Personalen var ej engagerade och besvarade frågor om boende och lokaltrafik extremt kortfattat och ej serviceminded. Ej låst rum till förvaring av väskor innan in och utcheckning. Städet var ivriga att komma in trots 1,5 h till utcheckning, frågade flera gånger om vi var påväg därifrån så de kunde börja städa.

Good Price, Friendly Staff But No Comfort
Pros:

Having stayed at this hotel previously, I was happy to stay somewhere again where the location of The Phoenix Hotel is great, with it being very close to the Bayswater Tube Station. There is also a good selection of small cafes, takeaways and restaurants and shops such as M&S. The Wi-Fi was quick which was a plus. TV provided with good variety of stations. Hairdryer provided with tea/coffee facilities which was appreciated. I booked 2 separate rooms for 3 nights which also included breakfast for a great price. Staff at reception area were great in rectifying problems we had with the rooms, mentioned in the cons. Great staff during breakfast who replenished food quickly. Very clean and tidy hotel. Cleaners were brilliant in their work and friendly when greeting them on the stairs. Breakfast was nice. I had no issues with noises outside, it was quiet. You are able to store suitcases. If you are not one who is "snobbish" with hotels being more comfortable in bedrooms, due to being out in London for large portions of the day, I would recommend. Lobby was quiet and cool so we were able to sit here often. Computer and printer provided which was great to research flights times etc

Cons:

The biggest issue with this hotel is the heat. There are no air conditioning units (which we knew) installed in the rooms which wasn't an issue with my previous stay but was a massive issue this time around. Fans are provided, and as mentioned above, the staff were able to provide extras when requested. However I stress, these fans do absolutely NOTHING to combat the heat in these rooms. I ran on 2-3 hours sleep each night which severely ruined my 4 day trip to London. If you are coming in the next few days, I suggest you decide whether you're able to deal with the heat in these rooms, especially if you take certain medications. Windows can only be opened a few inches. Why? When we checked in we found our single rooms included having to walk up stairs which wasn't suitable for my fellow traveller. I am baffled by this layout. However we were grateful for the hotel changing her room to a different one. The lift is incredibly slow, you're much faster to walk. The single room bathroom is TINY. I nearly waterboarded myself trying to wash my hair in the shower which has a stuck on the wall nozzle. Slight language/accent barrier. No sockets by my bed so I had to stretch the fans. You can store suitcases but there is no system to record room numbers with a tag which is a bit iffy for security. You go in yourself to get them which again, no security?

Excellent location, so accessible, close to two tube stations,
Friendly helpful staff, day and night, good luggage storage facilities.
The 11am check-up also a bonus

Cons:

Plastic desk-top fan only, no air-con or even ceiling fan.
In 30 degree London city heat this was difficult.
In our twin room the small single beds were shorter than standard beds.
The clingy curtain shower set-up needs updating.

Perfect Hotel in London! Great location, great facility, very clean, great value!
Pros:

It is the second time I have been there and it is a perfect Hotel for London. I truly like everything about it from cleanliness, friendliness, quality of breakfast, facility, size of room. Perfect value! Perfect location!

Cons:

The only thing is that the room can get quite warm in the summer without air conditioning. But the fan helped a lot.

Excelente localização, mas conforto apenas razoável
Pros:

Localização excelente. Serviços de limpeza muito bom.

Cons:

Isolamento acustico fraco, o que é incómodo, nomeadamente à noite, dado que tem uma rua em ambos os lados do hotel. Pequeno-almoco razoávle, mas com pouca diversidade.
