My experience staying at this hotel was horrible.
I booked a stay from May 29–31 for a volleyball tournament. On my first night at Spark by Hilton Walker, I found hair on the towels and noticed yellow and brown stains on the sheets and blankets. I went to the front desk to make a complaint, and the employee working that evening was accommodating and helped address my concerns for the night.
I asked when management would be available and was told the next morning. On Saturday, I spoke with the manager, Angela Cummins. At first, she was pleasant and understanding. She refunded one night's stay, but then my debit card was charged again for an amount that had already been paid the previous day.
When I asked why my card was charged a second time, Angela told me she needed to do it for audit purposes and that she would refund the $193 charge once she received a code from Hilton. Concerned about the additional charge, I called Hilton customer service and asked them to provide the code she said she needed. The Hilton representative informed me that they do not provide any code for processing refunds.
I then returned to the front desk with the Hilton representative on speakerphone. Angela again stated that she needed a code, and the representative again explained that Hilton does not issue refund codes. At that point, Angela became angry and said, “You called corporate on me?” I responded that I did because I needed my money returned.
The situation quickly escalated. Angela began yelling and screaming, told me to leave, and said she was calling the police. The police were called, and I left the property because I no longer felt comfortable staying there.
The condition of the room was unacceptable, and the manager's behavior made the situation even worse. Hilton is currently working with me to resolve the refund issue and address the inconvenience.
I will never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to others.
The room was fifty and the manager Angela Cummins was rude and nasty!!! She tried to fight me!!!!
