After reading the score on here I was a bit sceptical about my stay however have to say no complaints
Very warm welcome at reception and a good chat , room is spacious and clean yes could do with a lick of paint but nice bed and powerful shower.
Breakfast was buffet but decent standard
Very nice looking authentic place with renovated and comfortable rooms.
Breakfast was quite poor vs EU standard.
Quite overpriced.
Beautiful hotel. Very friendly staff.
Hired a meeting room. Coffees and teas included with a sweet treat. Was very good. And there was air con which was very much needed in this heat!
Comfy bed, good breakfast, great location,
Shower was broke
Liked the facilities provided , bed was comfortable
Rooms felt dated and price paid seems excessive. Was at Murder Mystery event where I felt the staff were slow
plenty of parking, free parking. bed was massive which was great!
The poor staff were too hot to provide good customer service, no hello how are you, hope you enjoy your stay…
The room was unbearably hot, i understand we were in a heatwave but when we got to the room, the window was open with the curtains wide open and the room was a sun facing room so all the heat was just drowning the space. We contemplated actually going back home and not staying because it was that hot. We had a fan but it was just pushing the heat around. We were there for a wedding and i felt so bad for the couple. The bar staff for the night couldn’t pour a pint, i was able to watch the bride and groom cut their cake, do father daughter dance, first dance before he finished making the pint. The breakfast the next morning was sad. We arrived and the guy taking us to our seat actually sighed when we said we had never been before. The apple juice was ‘actively fermenting’, the tongs to pick up the food was scorching and no napkin was there to help aid. The breakfast bits were not stocked up despite it being only 30mins after breakfast had started. No atmosphere/background music while you ate so was awkward.
Very good facilities. Nice gym and pool
There seemed to be some damp in the connection to the gym
Very clean and a fan was in our room already for the hot weather
Shower was not working correctly although in fairness they may not have been aware
The breakfast was lovely the first morning but there was hardly anything to eat the second morning. The staff when you could find them were very friendly and polite. The location was really good to where we needed to be.
The food at dinner time was very small for the price we paid. You had to pay to use the pool even though we were staying at the hotel. there wasn't a lift anywhere. The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard as we found bugs behind the bed and in the bathroom. there was no air-conditioning.
Location. It had a pool
Couldn't get food at lunchtime. The walk to the spa was a bit smelly, through the hotel. The carpets were all stained. A lot of lockers in the changing room were not lockable. Driveway needs resurfacing
It was lovely and quiet
The rooms were too stuffy and warm couldn’t open the window to get any air circulating.
When we arrived there was a Prom party on and we had not been notified, place was full of kids running around and very noisy we spoke to the duty manager Stalin Francis who apologised and told us to contact you for refund which they would approve as we should have been contacted.
Based on 3* being average and that the price you pay dictates your expectations, I give 1*.
Booked suite for 4 nights @ roughly £50 per night more than a standard room, as I needed the space for business discussions with my clients. Was downgraded after first night due to a problem with the lock. Offered free breakfast as compensation, which costs £17.50. Declined and asked to be refunded the difference. I asked the night before leaving and felt rather insulted when they told me they would refund £20 per night. I told them about the rate difference of £50 and their final offer was £40 per night.
£5 to use the gym, £10 per hour for early check in, £10 per hour for late check out....
My parents had their 40th wedding anniversary party here for 50 guests in one of the suites and it was a perfect size and also had exclusive access to outside. Staff serving fast at the bar, private toilets just for us which was much appreciated. Daniel was our event host and despite only being in the job 2 weeks we couldn’t fault his hard work, attitude , friendliness and professionalism. A big thank you to Louise too who we booked the event with, she was incredibly helpful!
The room was fine and the hotel itself is very nice
However the staff were very poor the bar was not well attended by staff and the beer was off as the pipes were playing up and the beer was cloudy when paying seven pounds fifty for pint you do expect decent beer!
I used the resteraunt but did not get served ( and it was not busy) so resorted to ordering at the bar and eating in the bar
Staff were not really customer freindly.
