Amazing relaxing and felt thoroughly luxurious
Internet was a little ropey but everything else really made up for that
Helpful staff
We were in room 120 it was very hot and difficult to sleep, the staff did supply an extra fan
Fabulous hotel. Friendly attentive staff. Lovely food, and comfortable rooms. Thankyou for making my birthday special. Really enjoyed our stay, and hope to be back again soon.
Excellent continental breakfast. Huge choice of fruits and yoghurt, cereals and pastries . Timings between taking orders and bringing hot food could be a bit erratic.
Love this hotel, history, welcome, comfort, staff, food, ambience, location.
Very comfortable throughout. Thank you!
Stay quite often always a good sgtandard
though room carpet was a bit grubby
Room had all necessary requirements
Room very hot. Duvet much too thick so didn't use. But fan made it ok.
Beautiful building, friendly staff and perfect setting.
Had to ask for tea and coffee 3 times at breakfast before it arrived.
A beautiful hotel set in well maintained park land. The two restaurants served quality well presented food which retained consistency throughout our stay
We stayed in the woodland wing and the rooms were very hot although a fan had been provided it did still feel a little uncomfortable due to the high temperatures 28 degrees plus
Great location. Beautiful building.
Didn’t realise we were not in the main house but in a modern extension. This wasn’t made clear when booking. To give it a name - Woodland Wing - means nothing unless you already know. It could have been a wing of the house.
On arrival day we arrived literally as a school prom was starting. It took us 30 MINUTES from the roundabout to get into the car park (a 1 MINUTE drive normally). No one had forewarned us it was on the same day/arrival time as us - otherwise we might have arrived earlier or later.
Also our bedroom was above a major building site with mechanical diggers/workmen waking us up each morning. Very very disappointing - not just that we weren’t in the main hall or that we didn’t have a lovely view of the stunning local countryside but that there was a large construction project underway. Coming from London and hoping for peace and quiet this was hugely disappointing. Again - no-one forewarned us. When I told the reception staff we were disappointed on check out they said it was because the building work had been delayed because of heavy rain earlier in the year. Even more reason to forewarn us. The hotel didn’t seem at all busy so I have no idea why we weren’t given a room away from the building site.
All aspects of our stay were first class
nothing to fault
Wunderschönes Hotel. Toller Service. Sehr sauber. Wir haben uns rundum gut gefühlt und würden jeder Zeit wiederkommen.
Everything was great . Staff were lovely. food was too and beautiful clean rooms
Nothing
Adored the scenery and overall location of the hotel. The room was designed beautifully and the size of the bed was amazing.
This was our first adult only trip in over 10yrs and we will definitely look to visit again. Perfect location overall. Staff were pleasant and helpful too. Can’t wait to see the new wellness retreat looking at it from our room looks like a fabulous addition
No A/C in the room, had the weather been as hot as it had been a few days earlier the fan would not have sufficed.
While breakfast was lovely the bar and grill menu didn’t really appeal so we booked to eat out which was equally disappointing food.
Absolutely amazing stay
Nothing comes to mind
Very friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional breakfasts. Wonderful building full of character and all in first class order
