Cornucopia Hotel

The room we were in, 44, could do with an upgrade. The balcony door is old and does not fit well. During the windy weather it rattled and the curtains were blowing. If the wind had carried on during the night we would have had to ask for a change as the noise would have kept us awake all night.

Monotonne śniadania.

Toilet door almost touches toilet. Liquid soap next to wash hand basin too low almost touching the vanity making it hard to put soap on hand. A chair or armchair in bedroom would be appreciated.
Very good breakfast for the usual dietary requirements. For gluten free desserts were very limited- biscuits only.

I had an issue w the bed they remedied that. Also it was too cold so they brought us a heater.

The location is kinda remote but order a bolt and you’ll be on your way.

There was nothing that we didn't like this is our 3 time in this hotel it is wonderful

The only thing is for next time we ask for 2 single beds as the double was a bit small.

The pool was extremely cold and not enjoyable to use during our stay. Unfortunately, our overall experience with the service was also disappointing.

The person who checked us in was not friendly or welcoming at all. He did not smile or make us feel comfortable upon arrival, and he explained everything very quickly, as if there was a long queue waiting behind us, even though there was none. It made the check-in experience feel rushed and impersonal.

We also did not feel the hospitality atmosphere from the breakfast team. In particular, the Filipina lady and the Maltese gentleman did not appear warm or approachable. We noticed that they seemed more attentive and friendly only to certain guests, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome during breakfast service.

Although we understand that the hotel is an older property, good hospitality and customer service should still be a priority. Sadly, we did not feel valued as guests during our stay.

Because of this experience, the next time we visit Gozo, we will choose to stay at a different property.

In addition, my husband accidentally left his electric toothbrush in the room. We contacted the reception for assistance, but unfortunately the staff were not helpful or proactive in trying to assist us. We expected better customer care, especially for a simple lost-and-found concern.

Overall, this property seriously needs more staff training on how to provide proper hospitality and professional customer service. Guests should feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable throughout their stay. Sadly, our experience was the opposite, and it left us very disappointed.
