Good hotel, bad neighborhood
Pros:

The hotel is nice, clean room, convience store 200 ft away

Cons:

Sketchy neighborhood, I wouldn’t be walking kids around there at night, but that’s most of downtown Portland. Also be pretty high daily fee for parking if you can’t find an outdoor space

Amazing stay for a family
Pros:

The room that we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. Will definetelly stay there again in the future. Very close to the nice walcble street with a lot of cafe and restaurants.

Breakfast had variations of foods. Coffee was fresh. Fitness center had all the equipment necessary. Pool and hot tub were good.

Pros:

Very convenient location right as you enter Portland, with easy access to the city. The complimentary breakfast was good and consistent with the reliable Holiday Inn Express standard. Although the rooms are a little dated, they were clean and well maintained, with good-quality bathroom amenities. Overall, a comfortable and dependable stay.

Cons:

The hotel feels quite dated and was not very welcoming when arriving at night. The parking setup was inconvenient: the ground-level spaces are limited and very tight, while access to the larger underground parking requires a separate card that must be returned or a $20 fee applies. The elevator was also very slow. The TV system felt outdated and was difficult to use, with an unreliable remote and channels that often froze or did not load. The pancake machine was also out of service during our stay. Overall, several small inconveniences made the experience less comfortable than expected.
