Good location. Staff were attentive and dealt with any issues straight away.
Didn’t use their restaurant for breakfast as it was overpriced. Used the Wetherspoons across the road for a quarter of the price.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn by IHG 23rd to the 25th Aug this year.
The location; just down from Coppergate & opposite the Weatherspoon Pub (The Postern Gate), was ideal for the centre of York.
We arrived early (11.00) expecting just to leave our baggage & then head into the city, the receptionist was excellent; she managed to arrange a room early, so we could freshen up & get settled in the room before heading into the city.
The room was functional & clean, but on the second day, our bed was not made or the towels changed, not really an issue.
We stayed on a bed, breakfast & dinner booking; the value for money far outweighed other hotels in the area, which were normally only bed & breakfast.
The breakfast along with the evening meal food was excellent, the only issue with the evening meal, was it was served in the reception area (not ideal) & we had the wait at least 1 hour 30 for the food to be served.
The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful.

Nothing, I had booked a twin room. On arrival I was told that there was no twin rooms available.
I therefore let my roommate have the room and paid for a room at another hotel.
