It was OK but would not recommend or return
Pros:

Just the location and the free parking

Cons:

Having come from another Mecure Hotel in Clermont-Ferrand this hotel in Nevers is not a 4*. There was not a safe in the room, paper/plastic cups and for a superior room it was quite small as was the bathroom.

Cheated!!!!
Pros:

Nothing. Only that the staff were nice.

Cons:

Nothing to do with the quality of Mercur. Seems has not been maintained for 30 years. Proper cleaning neither. Building in really bad state. We really could not believe it has four stars, this is fraud. We paid more than 160€, Del very cheated.

It serves its purpose for a short sightseeing of Nevers.
Pros:

The location was good, easy walk into the centre.

Cons:

The airconditioning in the room was very poor. The parking is located under the hotel and owned by the hotel but has an extra charge.

Nevers is worth a trip

Ok aber nicht vergleichbar mit Mercure Saumur
Pros:

Lage - sicherer Parkplatz

Cons:

Klimaanlage hat bei 40 Grad im Freien gestreikt
Zudem war das Personal zwar freundlich aber unterbesetzt und so kam es zu langen Wartezeiten

Nice restaurant. Limited selection for dinner but I found exactly what I wanted and it was well cooked. The breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

The air conditioning minimum temperature was set at 27C which is too hot for sleeping. A fan was provided but that did not help much. I’m guessing this policy is to save electricity, but at the cost of guests being uncomfortable. Given this hotel practice, I would not recommend this hotel if the weather is hot.
