Perfect location, great room, shower was fabulous!
Pillows could be a bit better they were more like a flat rock.. but other that that, nothing!

Check in was friendly and speedy.
Our room & bathroom (on the 7th Floor) was large, comfortable & clean. The air conditioning set to the right level for the weather that day.
The location of the hotel was perfect for The Birmingham Symphony Hall (aka IIC) - less than 5 minutes walk.
The choice at breakfast was superb although the cooked option was cooled by the cold plate.
Every staff member we came across was friendly (but professional) Check out was speedy and friendly.
Over the past 8 years )dependent on the concerts at the Arena & BSH) I have averaged 4 visits a year to central Birmingham and can't believe I haven't stayed at the Leonardo Royal before, but have already booked for October. This "Brummie friendly" hotel isn't the cheapest (by far) but is a winner as far as I'm concerned.
The only drama suffered was that my cars Sat Nav would have directed me to turn into a tram / taxi / cycle only lane on Broad Street and into a one way (no entry) street finding my way around that issue had I have followed it, the hotel receptionist said it wasn't the first time she had heard that finding the hotel car park on Berkley St Eventually found a way and found the car park (which at 3pm) had 3 untaken spaces that I saw. That said the car park is very close (very handy) to the hotel.

Lovely large room, clean bedding, lovely large bathroom. Iron and ironing board, hairdryer. In all a most comfortable stay. We had the evening meal , great and a drink.

The breakfast buffet was v good
I was told the desk light in my room would be fixed after asking 3 times so I could work. Maintainence advised it had been which was clearly a lie. It was never sorted.
