We enjoyed our stay at the Loews hotel. We booked the king room with city view. The room was clean and very spacious. Staff was very attentive and accommodating to our needs.
The reasoning why I gave 4 stars is because we noticed in our room the bathroom sink had a plumbing issue and kept dripping. We tried maneuvering it but it wouldn’t stop. Another minor inconvenience was room service wasn’t available throughout the day. They only service in the morning for breakfast hours then dinner service starting at 5pm. Our only option throughout the day was to go to the coffee shop to get small selection of warmed up food or pre packaged food that’s refrigerated by the pool area. It would’ve been a nice option to have food made to order inside the hotel instead of having to opt for leaving. I understand it’s also a family friendly hotel but another nice touch would’ve been for a little music to be played by speaker or have a dj come to play over the weekend (especially for summer days). Other than that we had a great stay.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was exceptional, the pool was lovely. The hotel had a relaxing yet professional atmosphere in a fantastic location.
The location was perfect, swimming pool opening hours are long which is a huge bonus! Staff are all welcoming and lovely, was very impressed with hospitality. Room is clean, view was nice. Overall extremely pleased with the stay.
Cleaners forgot to give us the face towels one of the days and the shower gel was never refilled during our stay.

Spacious room and helpful staff
Great location
The location is excellent, especially for exploring Hollywood, and the hotel has a great setting with convenient access to many attractions.
Unfortunately, there are several aspects of the hotel that feel quite outdated and did not meet our expectations for a hotel of this standard.
The carpet in both the stairways and the guest rooms is very old and visibly dated. This gives the hotel a tired appearance and is something we would expect to see improved, particularly considering the price and reputation of the property.
The air conditioning was by far our biggest issue. The system is very old and extremely noisy, and there was very little control over the temperature from the room. We made a lot of effort trying to switch off the air conditioning because it was so loud that we simply could not sleep with it running. However, once it was switched off, the room became uncomfortable during the night because there was virtually no air circulation. We eventually had to leave the bathroom door open just to get some kind of air circulation into the room. This is not something we would expect from a hotel at this level, and the air-conditioning system clearly needs to be upgraded.
We were also disappointed by the check-out process. The hotel sent us text messages offering a quick and easy check-out, but when we went to reception, we still had to queue. Even more frustratingly, the reception team appeared to be unaware of the messages that the hotel had sent us and explained that this was handled by “another team.” From a guest’s perspective, the different teams should be coordinated so that the service being communicated to guests actually works in practice.
Overall, while the location and general experience were good, the outdated rooms and stairways, particularly the very noisy and outdated air-conditioning system, significantly affected our stay. We hope Loews Hollywood will invest in these areas, as they currently fall short of what we would expect from a hotel of this standard.
