The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the great variety of breakfast options, the lovely rooftop views, and the good selection of dishes available for half-board dinner. The Aperol Spritz was also well mixed. The staff is also polite.
Bonus points-
Unfortunately, we only found out after paying and checking in that the spa and indoor pool were closed for maintenance. I raised this at reception, and initially, a couple of staff members did not seem to know how to handle the complaint. However, the manager came out and offered a solution, and she also told us they would call as soon as the pool reopened.
They did, in fact, call us as promised, which we really appreciated. It was a thoughtful and attentive gesture, and showed that they did take our concern seriously.
There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The balcony banister was rusty, there were handprints on the glass of the revolving door at reception, and our room was not cleaned as well as expected. The corridors were not air-conditioned and had a lingering smell of sweat. For a 4- or 5-star hotel, we would expect the common areas to feel fresh, clean, and pleasant.
The shower in our room was not great, and the toilet flush had to be used in a very specific way to stop it from constantly running and making noise during the night.
We didn't mention these issues to reception during our stay because we felt most of them could not be fixed immediately, but we think they are important points for the hotel to improve.
Unfortunately, our experience at the TemptAsian rooftop restaurant was also disappointing, especially as my husband had arranged a birthday dinner for me. Our food arrived about 15 minutes before our drinks, and the Peking duck was left on the table for around 10 minutes before the sides arrived, so the food became cold. When we mentioned this, we were told that the restaurant was busy, although it was a Tuesday evening and didn't appear particularly busy. This left us feeling quite disappointed.
The staff were very polite, but we felt that the service could have been more attentive and professional. They need training.
As the hotel shares facilities with the 5-star hotel, we found the pool and bar menu very expensive for 4-star guests.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but it needs better maintenance, cleanliness, and attention to detail to truly feel like a 4- or 5-star experience.

La piscine ferme tôt le soir pour laisser place à l'aménagement des tables pour ceux qui mangent le soir. Pas accès à la piscine intérieure en été.
Very convenient location, with great views from the rooftop pool. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is okay, but a bit monotonous.
The room and bathroom are clean, but a bit dated and slightly smelly. The indoor pool is closed for renovation.
