Beware: Hotel is not fully upfront about its parking limitations and options
Pros:

Great location. Early check-in at 2 pm was available.

Cons:

The Hotel advertises that it can't guarantee a parking space will be available for every vehicle (fair enough). However, they don't disclose (until check-in) that the only alternative to Hotel parking is STREET PARKING IN A PERMIT-RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL AREA around the hotel with a 2-HOUR TIME LIMIT ENFORCED BY CITATION AND TOWING. If you have a larger pick-up, SUV or RV, it's worse, as the hotel provides only TWO (2) spaces on-property for larger vehicles-- thus it's highly likely you won't secure an on-property space (as was our experience).

Thus, to park our pick-up we needed to: (1) compete with local residents to find a parking spot; (2) monitor and move our vehicle at least every 2 hours from 8 am to 6 pm; or (3) risk a citation/fine and towing (see photo of enforcement posting). I witnessed several shiny new parking enforcement vehicles circling the area and the City appeared serious about enforcement. For $600/night we expected better parking accommodation. Knowing this situation in advance, we would have NOT chosen this property.

It was clean comfortable. We did not spend a lot of time in the room.
Pros:

Super convenient to all areas to where we wanted to go. The bathroom and shower were nice and big.

Cons:

Can't think of anything.

Location is great but wanted more updated room features and decor.
Pros:

Telluride is very expensive and the Hotel Telluride - while comfortable, is a bit dated. Front desk staff were VERY helpful and I so appreciate that.

Cons:

It is an older hotel and the room was a bit dark. Decor is dated.

Cons:

Requested to upgrade my room since their site had availability, they said it was not possible, I would have to forfeit what I had already paid and rebook at full rate, total lack of customer service for a function that any other hotel would gladly accommodate to increase revenue, I was willing to pay the difference. I won’t stay there again.

Loved our stay
Pros:

I have no idea why summer tourists come and stay in the mountain development when they can stay at this excellent hotel. The staff is friendly, pro-active and accommodating. The building is lovely. The rooms are not huge but a good size with very nice amenties and a comforable bathroom. Maid service was excellent. Advice from the front desk was excellent. The restaurant is more of a high-end lobby amenity than a stand-alone establishment, and at the end of a long day we appreciated the good food, friendly service and casual approach. And the location of the hotel on the edge of town is great for a couple of reasons. First, you are part of the town and can walk and wander and explore and feel a part of real, fascinating place. The stores and restaurants are several blocks away, and an entry to the river walk park is three blocks away. The gondola is walking distance. Second, you are a block from the town's school fields and playground, and a small upscale supermarket is across the street from the school, all of which are great features, especially when traveling with kids. They can run around and you can enjoy the views of the mountains from valley floor. One important issue to mention. Like many places in town, the hotel has limited parking available, so discuss parking in advance.

Ok, but the parking...
Pros:

Conveniently located, within walking distance to center of town. Room was fine. Rather pricey for what you get, but hey, Telluride. The one thing that I did not appreciate was how parking was done. Basically, was told that if you find a spot to park in the garage, best not move your car unless you want to lose your parking spot. If you do, you can try to find street parking, but during the day parking nearby is time restricted, so you would have to keep moving your vehicle. Not an ideal situation for paid parking. As it was, we chose to not move our car for 3 days, rather than fight the street parking mess.

Cute, cozy place!
Pros:

A quaint, cute hotel offering 2 stand alone hot tubs, a gym and dog friendly… with a $25 charge per dog per night. Doggie bags and a biscuit given! Cookies offered in the evening, coffee, tea in mornings with an on sight bistro. Lobby has fireplace, cozy! The room is small. A small desk, one overstuffed chair with ottoman. I liked there was a refrigerator, microwave and a small wet bar. There is outside access with the first floor rooms. After maid service the door wouldn’t open. A small square patio… ours had one chair with a 3 foot drop off, no railings. So we didn’t use it. The electricity went out twice, once for over 30 minutes. Interrupted working remotely. Parking is on a first come first serve basis, $20 a night. Second night, no spots. I asked for that night’s refund and got it! No real views but location is good about a 5-10 minute walk to downtown and free gondola to Mountain Village. With fees nightly stay in July was about $500 in July. But hey, it’s Telluride.

Pros:

Location is good. I missed not having a nice bar in the hotel.

Cons:

First two nights we stayed in a room on first floor next to construction site, it was not good, the air in the room was really bad and constant noise from early morning. Clearly not a quiet room. But then they manage to move us, to a better room.

A great choice in Telluride
Pros:

We had a great stay at Hotel Telluride for four nights 6/28 – 7/2 2026. It was our first visit to Telluride for a milestone birthday and we wanted a place with AC, which those are harder to find in this high mountain town. We found the hotel a good match and really liked being in the town itself, as opposed to Mountain Village area. We appreciated the hotel services over a rental/condo.

I felt quite at home once we settled into our junior suite. We booked this larger room for the extra dining area with living space. We had room 316; I believe there are only 2 rooms of this category. While I would have preferred a room further down the hall, in a quieter area away from the elevator, being right next to the elevator worked out okay. We didn’t really hear too much unless it was at the start or end of the day with various housekeeping carts rolling out. The AC in the room worked really well and I thought the bed was quite comfortable. The bed linens are higher quality than average, which was appreciated. The other furniture is looking a bit worn and outdated, but worked fine. The kitchenette area was great and we used the fridge and dishware set for preparing light breakfasts, lunches and the ability to reheat leftovers for dinner. (Clark’s market is just about 1 block away, very quick walk for groceries/supplies) There is a Keurig in the room with various k-cup options for coffee/tea/cocoa.

The coffee/tea set up in the lobby is nice all day, and at 4pm there are cookies, but they go fast. The underground parking area is tight, but we were able to find spots at check-in (around 3pm on a Sunday) as well as following a hike and return around 11 or 12 noon on a Tuesday. We didn’t use the fitness room or hot tub.

We thought the staff are friendly and helpful, good communication on the phone ahead of the trip.

We enjoyed the hotel-provided complementary shuttle service. What a great feature! Just call them up and they are usually ready really quickly, or back within minutes after dropping off other guests. Even though the walk into town was only 5-10 minutes, sometimes you just need a ride after hiking all day!

We also used the town-provided free Galloping Goose shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes in town at multiple stops.

West End Bistro is attached to the lobby. Service was decent, prices were high as expected for the area, but food was good. We only tried dinner one evening, other nights we enjoyed off-site restaurants. (enjoyed trying Brown Dog Pizza, Side Work speakeasy and Butcher and Baker for desserts or breakfast)

If we ever have the opportunity to return to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to consider Hotel Telluride for another stay.

Areas of potential improvement:
The microwave was really hard to open, it is an entry-level model for sure, but did the trick for reheated food.
If the mini fridge had a little freezer section for ice packs, that would have been appreciated.
Cabinets in the kitchenette area could use bumper pads to not make so much noise upon closing
The toilet seemed low, consider a taller size for future upgrades/replacements
The quality of toilet paper and tissue could be improved
Vacuuming should be more thorough; I found a dried cranberry at the edge of the closet doors.

Nice but not worth it.
Pros:

Beautiful property. Good location.

Cons:

Too expensive for what it is. No views to speak of. Four seasons price with Hilton garden inn vibe.
